Did Williams Grove cut the purse to the National Open one year after rain? I cannot remember but I was thinking they may have.

I have went to the Dirt Track World Championships the last 2 years. Both years have been really good racing even though Bloomquist stunk up the features. If you like racing then it is a great event, 3 days of 200+ cars is a real treat. I was not a fan of the passing points this year but they did need to try something I guess. Now if you are a non Taxi Cab likin person then you will not like it.

Let's be real here, the lack of dental work is not limited to just the Taxi Cabs. I have been to almost every track in Ohio, Indiana and PA that run sprint cars and I can tell you there is a largest need for Dental Hygenists everywhere.

Baba Booey!

Yes, they did they year the entire weekend was rained out and they ran it without WoO sanction a few weeks later.

I was referring to a single night being rained out of the weekend (it happened last season for WoO and Lucas Late Models.  if the tracks don't get the gate $$ for the first night, they cut the purse for the final night.

Agree, the Lates put on great racing, maybe the hygeine has more to do with where the races are held than anything.  Almost everyone I've ever met at the Late Model Nationals in Knoxville are super nice (and they have all had all their teeth).

Late Models have great TV coverage mainly because of Lucas. They resemble a car [not really] but that helps. They have some great personalities that also helps.I prefer sprints but late models are a little better promoted.

They come no where close to looking like any car I have ever seen driving down a street or hyway. And whether they have mustang, charger or any other name on the car they still all look alike.
