First FVP National Sprint League Event of 2016 Returns to 34 Raceway!

Windom, MN (November 16, 2015) – The FVP National Sprint League will begin 2016 where it did its inaugural season!  The 34 Raceway near West Burlington, Iowa will host the series’ season opener again on Saturday, April 9!  This time, competitors will be gunning for $5,000 to win!

The popular 3/8-mile banked oval always offers a racy surface, and that was on display in the inaugural race for the NSL last season.  Forty of the best drivers in the Midwest and the nation gathered for the historic race.  The feature saw Wayne Johnson capitalize on a 360 spin by leader Terry McCarl to take the win.  Brad Loyet, Bryan Clauson and Tim Kaeding (from 15th) followed McCarl in the top five.

Is this $5,000 to win for everyone or only NSL members with 100% participation?

If they are kicking off the season with it, showing up would be 100% participation wouldn't it?

But do you have to be a paid NSL member?

No, I don't believe so.

I do not know if I heard it correct, but I heard that all NSL races will pay a min. of $5,000 if a member or not.  Someone that knows can answer this as it would be a change from earlier.

You are correct. All teams will be racing for the same purse, members or not. However, they must have 100% attendance to qualify for the end of year points fund...z

So know I'm confused again.  Are ALL NSL races $5000 to win with the whole purse increased for all competitors, NSL member or not?  I thought the big press release about Knoxville said the NSL races at there would pay $5000 to NSL members with 100% participation but only $3000 to non-NSL members.  That was basically what started the long discussion with discenting views.  Did I read that wrong or has something changed, or did I have it wrong all along?  Thanks.

Sorry for the confusion. I was referring to the question of our opening race at Burlington, IA. We are discussing possible changes in our payout procedures...z

If you race the first race at Burlington, you have will have attended 100% of the NSL races at that point to date. 100% attendence means you are racing for the additional purse ADDED ON TO THE TOP OF THE NORMAL PURSE.  I dont get what is so difficult about this!

I heard a rumor that the World of Outlaws show at Knoxville will have an additional purse for the full-time World of Outlaw teams and all other teams will race for the normal purse (sarcasm).

Dude if you're bitching at me SORRY TO UPSET YOU SO MUCH.  I was refering to what linbob said about paying the increased purse for all races regardless of member or not which z-man appeared to confirm.  But then he clarified just the first race but also says they're considering different purse options.  It sounds like they may be re-thinking what was previously posted.  Maybe I'm the only one who was confused but I thought one benefit of this forum was to ask questions and get information.  That's all I was doing.  Pardon me for pissing you off.....  Hopefully I didn't ruin your whole day.

It appears there are 3 options for the NSL:

Burlington show:  5k to win /700 to start for the entire field

Jackson shows: 5k to win/700 to start for the entire field per the 360 meeting.

Knoxville shows: 5k to to win 700 to start for the 100% guys

Assuming there are some other shows, what is the payout for those?  Are they like Burlington, like Jackson or like Knoxville?

From watching the video, looks like they took the tow money and put it in the purse for everyone. 5000 win 700 start min. for everybody. Looks like they are only starting 20 in the feature and paying only 4 spots in the b.  I would hate to be the 25th car and go home with what looks like nothing. It will be interesting to see a nls/ira show with 40 or so cars and 16 rolling out without a check. If I'm wrong please correct me.
