Sadly nobody has been able to have much luck in that car. But wish Paul all the best.

It will be interesting to see how this all plays out next year… on the surface it appears that Gravel got the better end of the swap however I’m not sure this is true… there is something about CJB that just does not pass the smell test for me… in addition if you think Sammy is there to help anyone but Sammy you have never met the man.

How did you base your criteria to include CJB in the same caliber with the NASCAR supported teams?
Was it their ability to pay for diesel fuel… it is going to take more than money to beat those guys.

They all have top notch equipment, the teams you mentioned simply have more of it, if you give the Schatz team destiny's equipment, they will still be fast, conversely, give the destiny team Schatz equipment, they would still be midpack. It obviously takes a lot more than equipment to win races and championships.

So if you gave paul Schatz equipment he can't win?
0r if you give Donny destiny equipment and crew chief he will win.. Is that correct?

Hey stab-n-steer, if you don't think Sammy helps other drivers and give back to the sport, you need to get out of the grandstands more often. Sammy has helped more drivers than you could count. Just because he does it quietly and behind the scene doesnt make it any less true. I get why people want to bash him, I really do get it, but don't fabricate things to add to the fire. Sammy has gave more to this sport than we could ever thank him for. And yes that includes giving a team or two practice on rebuilding a car.

You're correct. In fact he just helped Tanner Thorson climb the turn 4 fence the other night on the first lap of their heat race. A real selfless saint that guy.
Cheers!

If the uniformed haters actually knew how dumb they sounded they'd stop......wait, no they wouldn't. They are too dumb. Sammy has done nothing but give back to the sport and other drivers. I do believe you will find out that on a night he wasn't racing he traveled to the track and helped wrench on McMahan's car the last WoO feature he won. Yep, only out for himself. Stupid people run wild on this board. But those of us who actually know racing and the people involved, thank you for the endless hours of laughter as we read your idiotic posts. LMAO!!!!!!!!

Sammy is one of the greatest sprint car drivers of all time. With that said I geat endless hours of laughter of you and several other sammy lovers down on your knees with your mouths open just wishing he would walk by so you could praise him like you do on here... off the top of my head sammy asshole moves
1. fencing Tanner Thorson at charlotte. this year
2. playing my dick's bigger than yours at knoxville with brown at the nationals this year
3. running in to brown from behind at jackson this year
4. being an absolute asshole to every driver he got close to at the chilibowl after his own kid was the one to cause him to almost crash. this year
5. fencing Cody Darrah at charlottle a few years ago and then saying in the interview some guys dont know when to get out of the way.
6. being an asshat at the short track nationals running a guy completly off of the race track in to the pits 2010
just a few off the top of my head

Why is it everybody always slams Sammy. I guess all the other drivers are perfect and Sammy is the villan. Everyone makes mistakes. Lets see you race at 60 yrs of age. I'm sure you can all do better. Yes Sammy makes mistakes but we all do. Get over it. Three quarters of the current racers will be lucky if they ever win a big race. Go Sammy#1!

Because some of us have been around racing long enough to have witnessed him drive like he has no regard for anyone else. I've watched him pull bullshit moves in sprint cars for decades. Couple things that are always consistant in those instances 1) it's never his fault according to him 2) his few fans come out of the word work to defend his actions regardless of how bad 3) other racers don't respect him as a clean competitor 4) he is a bully on the racetrack, plain and simple. If he wrecks you its your fault never his.
Cheers!

Paul is a great driver. If Destiney doesn't prove to be competitive by years end, I think there will be something else out there for him. I wouldn't count Destiney out this year, they have a great crew chief and if he gells with Paul, they will do well and hopefully win several races.

It's easy to find examples when a career spans over 4 decades. I can do the same for other drivers (that aren't considered dirty by many on this board (probably a majority).
Example #1; Terry McCarl - wrecked Randy Smith on the front straightaway at Knoxville UNDER CAUTION when he was driving the blaxk 7x and Randy Smith was driving the Durst/Trostle 20 (last championship year for Randy as I recall).
To me, that was way more egregious than ANYTHING I have ever seen under green flag conditions by any driver. Yet, when you talk about dirty drivers, Terry is seldom mentioned.
The only thing that pretty much EVERYONE can agree on is that Donny Schatz is BY FAR the CLEANEST driver out there (and a majority of that praise if from his peers that are out there choping, blocking, and occassionally getting a wheel into another car trying to protect their position or advance their position).

When I say by years end, I am referring to 2016. I haven't heard about anybody replacing Scott. Great guy with history.
