I'm a diehard sprint car fan and usually just stalk the sprint pits. Tonight, dad and I showed up late and had to park at the end of the drag strip forcing us to walk the dreaded late model and modified pits. We walked about two aisles and finally had to stop and look at each other. There were so so many cars, teams, fans in areas we haven't explored yet.
I have personally been to the World 100, Knoxville Nationals, and Syracuse. Each one of these events are bigger in prestige but do any of them provide fans the greatest talent in the world like the World Finals?
I started questioning everything when Charlotte showed a 100 percent chance rain all weekend and I still had a mile tract toward the track.
Is the World Finals the number one dirt track event in the world?

Not being smart, but Syracuse is no more. Last month's Super DIRT Week ended racing at the Syracuse mile after 112 years of racing there. It's just awful that the state destroyed all that racing history.

I guess it all depends on who you ask, You'd have to consider the Boone (IA) Speedway Super Nationals as one of the largest dirt track events in the world. http://www.raceboone.com/2015/09/11/car-count-record-reaches-876-at-super-nationals/ No sprints but does draw in some big names.

Simply.....No. The Knoxville Nationals, The Chile Bowl, Boone Iowa Super Nationals are for sure three that are bigger.

What is your definition of "biggest"?
Car count, paid admission, total TV viewership or social media coverage, prestige, quality of field?

I would not call the World Finals the biggest racing event for your money , car counts are good cause you have 3 divisions , but they do include a 3 day pit pass if you purchase early . But I don't like the fact that you have qualifying all in one day , even though I guess its the only way they can do it . I'd like to see 3 days of racing . I have to agree with some of the other comments about the other events maybe being bigger events .

Very hard to put a definition on it. I personally would prefer Knoxville over the others because it's four days of sprint car racing without having to put up with another class that I don't wanna watch.
Which race is the biggest in fan attendance? I don't even know what the Knoxville Saturday final draws. I know the place holds almost 25,000 and looks about 85% to 90% full, so I'm assuming over 20,000.

Boone is definitely not bigger.
You could argue Knoxville is bigger, more fans, bigger purse, much better tradition.
They can't get the track right when there is rain, that's the worst part. Hillbilly Late Model fans are a close 2nd.
