The I-30 Short Track Nationals are October 19-22, 2016...and I'm hearing some scuttlebut that now the Trophy Cup is changing from the dates posted above?
...on top of STN weekend?
The date shown above, Oct. 13-15, for the Trophy Cup works much better for fans and teams, and there are a drivers that race each and fans that like to attend each.
And the weekend after Oct. 22 is the World Finals, so there's not much flexibility in the schedule.

Sure was nice of them to change their date to the same weekend as the short track nationals. Arguably the two biggest 360 shows in the country are now competing. Winner? Can't really see one. Losers? The fans.

1,745 miles apart. Is life so easy that we have only to complain about 2-5 cars not being able to run both races, and probably fewer fans that would make both races. McCarl even skipped the STN this year. That Bastard, he could have ran one night. Look at the top twenty topics on Hoseheads and find one you can make a positive comment about. People on this forum are exhausting.

For the teams that are traveling a considerable distance to either one...advantage, Trophy Cup. Better pay and less chance of inclimate weather.

Of course your opinion is correct in regards to those who live close enough to attend either race. But for those of us who aren't close to either venue, PPV becomes our way of enjoying those events. The fact that they are on the same weekend doesn't mean crap to PPV viewers that the facilities are 1745 miles apart. Thet might as well be accross the street from one another! As far as your handing out advice to others on Hoseheads, I suggest you think beyond the end of your nose! You just might then see things from other's perspectives.

Considering the time difference, you should be able to watch both, if you have decent equipment. At least switch back and forth between the two. I'm sure that doesn't make you feel any better about the date change, but at least there's a possibility of a PPV double header.

Sorry I wasn't very tactful with my statement and should be more considerate as to how I respond. In other words, I should look in the mirror myself before I spout off.
