I really  hope and pray that all goes well tomorrow at Port Royal . After last weekend 's three tracks getting rained out , my  hope is  the racing gets in for the  World of Outlaws race .  Why, I say this is for you the fans , the drivers, and Port Royal Speedway board members . I think and I know many may disagree with me but I believe the people at Port Royal  have your interests at heart in making the  many improvements they've made . While there has been a lot of good promotions at area tracks this season , I put the facility of Port Royal Speedway as the # 1 track in central Pa. , as of right now .

Port Royal is way better than what it was and its my home track but they aren't the unanimous #1 in the area. Lincoln is just as nice as Port is and they also have just as good of a track surface which is prepared by Fred Putney who is one of the best there's ever been. One thing Port has shown an extreme lack of s ability in doing, is keeping their show moving. They almost always start late and many times the T-shirt give aways and other promotions become a bit too much and hold the show up. Not to mention, I'm not sure why they felt the need to add the Modifieds as a support class tomorrow. That move just might come back to bite them in the ass. At this time of the year, WoO sprints with no support class is the way to go. Yes they will lose out on some back gate money but more times than not, late October weather in Pennsylvania is questionable at best. I think running one division and keeping the show moving is their best bet to make a race like this a success because if it rains out tomorrow with half the program complete, that will be anything but a success. I hope it turns out to be a non issue and we get it done before the rain moves in but I don't like our chances. I've not seen the IMCA style mods run but a few times but every time I have, they were a damn crashfest and if that happens tomorrow, we might just be screwed. With a 5pm start, they're going to have 3 to MAYBE 4 hours to get the show in before the rain comes if the forecast turns out to be correct and that doesn't leave one second to spare with having to qualify all those cars plus run a support class. Regardless, I'm going to go and hope for the best.

Your right in just about all you say Mr. Fixxxer  about Port Royal , they should only have one division , need to move show faster . Yes there is much to improve on but not the facility as I pointed out . Also you must know the World of Outlaws would not give Port Royal an earlier date this year after they promised them an earlier date in June or July as they requested , but this what I tryto  tell everyone but no agrees that the WoO CARES ABOUT WHAT'S  GOOD FOR THEM not what's  good for you or the tracks . And, yes there is some good points to Lincoln like you say , but overall Port is more comfortable facility for fans , which is what I care about other then seeing good racing .

Actually it wasn't the WoO choice to not give Port an earlier date, it was Kathy Hughes.

I am not surprised , as this was set up long ago with WoO  with Morgan Hughes and then controller  Bob ? that they control local dates in Pa --NJ AREA .

I hear the 410s are getting a 4 barrel and mufflers off a caddy, 358s a 2 barrel and single exaust right off a 55 chevy wagon and the stock cars a single throat.  Go carts will most likely have no engine at all at other area tracks.  Cubic is going to have an erection for more than 4 hours.

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

Port did a good job of not pissing around and plowing right through the program.  Quite honestly, I usually dont care if they piss around because my commute is less than 10 mins, but sometimes, like tonight, it's needed.  Good job Port.

They got started late again last night but after that, they ran the program as efficiently as one possibly could. The weather was only a few miles down the road when they pushed the feature off and they got it in. The racing was awesome all night long. The heats, the C-main and B-main and the feature were all good with lots of action and passing from the back to the front. Port Royal Speedway management should be commended for a job well done. I spoke in another post about how Lincoln has built so much loyalty among the fan base and nights like last night are exactly how you do that. Port Royal is definitely in good hands.

Shouldn't have a CID limit at all. They should be unlimited. Your mentality is why we have limited sprints.

Greetings,

I hope after seeing the Mid Atlantic Mods at Port that we are not a "Crash Fest". We were very aware of the weather, and the fact that the fans were there on Saturday to see the World of Outlaws. I think our drivers did a great job of moving the show along, as well as my team (Myself, Jeff and Jake) in lining the cars up in the pits so that they were ready to roll out immediately and in order for our heats and feature.

Thanks,

Jeff.

Mid At Mods - I just got off the phone earlier today commending your groups professionalism and performance at Port Royal.

Come up and replace the limited late models any night ! (they can't stop wrecking and spinning each other to save their @ss on the nights they run with 410s)...

You guys did a very good job all around. It would be great to have you guys replace the other support divisions at Port who can't seem to get it through their heads that it doesn't pay $5000 to get to the flagstand first when the green flag waves, especially the econo lates.
