Great news for every driver from Grand Forks. $400 in tow money to run Saturdays at Badlands.
Lincoln vs. Port Royal=79 miles apart
Fremont vs Chillicothe=154 miles apart
Attica vs. Lernerville=202 miles apart
Williams Grove vs. Lernerville =210 miles apart
Knoxville vs. Husets=3333 miles apart!!!
-----------------
We are incredibly excited about our 410-sprint car season for 2016!
$5,000 to win, and $700 to start!
It’s going to be an amazing racing season at Badlands next year. We recently announced on Oct. 14 our Travel Assistance Program, which pays 410-sprint car teams $1.50 per mile to tow to Badlands in 2016. The program begins at our opener on May 21 for the $100,000 Silver Shootout.
Every 410-sprint car team that travels to BMS for a weekly program will receive $1.50 per mile. For example, if a team travels from Minneapolis, they would receive approximately $352.50 (235 miles). If a team travels from Sioux Falls, they would receive approximately $22.50 (15 miles). The Travel Assistance Program will max out at $400, so any team traveling over 266 miles will receive $400 in travel assistance.
A complete list of the record-breaking 2016 payouts for all six classes can be found on our website. Please let us know as soon as possible your interest in the Travel Assistance Program. Feel free to comment on our FaceBook page:www.facebook.com/badlandsmotorspeedway
The Travel Assistant Program includes every 410-sprint car event for the season, excluding the August 19-21 Gold Cup, and the World of Outlaws event, scheduled for July 2-3.

Just so we are all clear on this up front. Does this money get added on to the amount of purse money earned that night of racing? So say you live a hundred miles from the track you would get $150.00 and then you run 2nd in the feature and I'm not sure what that pays but say it is $3,000.00. Would you then get a total of $3,150.00?

No it's getting even more stupid! Once again badlands is showing the racing community that they are not here for any other reason than to try stir the pot and disrespect the drivers fans and other tracks! this will not last long for badlands if he would put his HUGE EGO aside this could be a great thing for sprint car racing but it's a parent that his EGO is his motivation, he wants to be the big shot and its that simple. He is all about him and if you don't believe me come back to this post next year and tell me if you agree

This is turning into a battle of bank accounts. Not sure if the announcement of all this bonus/incentive money being offered is being done so out of pride or if it's genuine, but either way it's great for the teams and I hope it works out for everybody involved. It seems like this is a giant pissing match right now, but I'm excited for next season as it looks like the teams will finally be racing for a good purse, and be adequately (in a relative sense) rewarded for the time and money spent to put on a show for us fans.

You may be right and you may be wrong, time will telll. I just hope that people can see all the positive things happening too. Let me ask you this, how was the racing 2 years ago, before NSL and the recent Husets purchase?

I know there are a lot of drivers to the north on I-29 that are really excited about this option to race on Saturday nights in Sioux Falls. They will be able to get home and recover before work on Monday. They get to race for a great purse and now Badlands will even pay up to $400 for towing expense. That's a win/win. If anyone wants to run a track anywhere they want they should be able to do what they want. They don't have to "respect" any other track if they chose not to. Especially one over 300 miles away...

Not saying everything this guy has done has been the greatest, but the idea that you should have to operate your business on a less ideal night because some track 300 miles away is operating on Saturday is kind of silly.
I also see nothing wrong with tow money, other than wondering how in the world the front gate is going to pay for all of this.

You should do some fact checking before screaming at everyone in all caps. World of Outlaws have been at Huset's the week of July 4th 8 out of the last 10 years:
2006 – July 3rd
2007 – July 3rd
2008 – July 3rd
2009– July 3rd
2010 – July 1st
2012 - July 3rd
2013 - July 3rd
2014 – July 2nd

I don't have any idea about whats going on, who's doing what, But it is entirely possible that he intends the track to be a money losing part of the overal buisness for tax purposes. Hence renaming it to Badlands as part of his buisness.
I also don't think in this deal that the local should get less than a hundred tow money. Thats driver and two crew members pit pass return. Nevermind the cost to get there, Running cost. The increasing over say 50 miles is cool.

$1.50 per mile sounds good for Aussie and New Zealand teams! LOL $10,000 in tow money. There must be limits on this tow deal, if it sounds too good to be true it probably is.

I may have to go this summer. 400 will not cover my fuel costs but a good start. I've never been there. It's a short track correct?

Now things just got 100% real... This is what a track does that cares about the low budget racers.

Going to be interesting to see car counts on opening night. This place is low budget driver friendly. Decent tow money and payouts so teams will make money instead of loosing money to race.
I tell it like I see it.
