Why was it that Johnson, Madsen, McMahon, Saldana, Allen, Gravel and even Tim Shaffer were all either in the C or B mains on sunday? Is it because theyre just THAT bad or the field of cars was just that tough?
Theres multiple WoO wins, All Star wins and All Star championships between those drivers so i dont think theyre THAT bad..

I wasn't there but all indications were that the track wasn't that good and Grove is not an easy track to figure out unless you race on it regularly , just like Knoxville where most of the time the regulars and WoO drivers have the edge . Also to give you another comparison running weekly at Port Royal is an advantage , just look at who has done well there or even at Lincoln is the same way . Hope that helps some ?

In case you weren't aware, where you qualified on Sunday determined where you ended up for the most part. A real race fan would have figured that out already, but most cheerleaders couldn't, which are you, lol?
Beardman, I laugh with every single post, the anger comes from those being made fun of with the real facts. Who cares how many years it was, other than the last few years the Outlaws DOMINATED Lincoln, don't care how you look at it, not sure why you can't figure it out, did you ride the short bus to school? Just askin'....

I think you have way way way oversimplified this. I would ask you to do the exact same thing I just did, Work out a spread sheet of the finishing positions vs the starting positions of the A main, vs the qualifying time and you might be surprised. Alot of folks came up 3-4 positions/lost 3-4 positions in the A-main. Granted some stayed put as well, but there is an interesting statistic to be seen.
IMO what you will see when you look at the timetrials vs the finishing orders vs the passing positions and such is a track that was hard for a crew chief/driver to read and a track that alot of people just flat missed their setups. Those that hit their setups were pretty obvious. Those that didn't are pretty obvious too. I'll just hit the highs and low marks.
Monteith + 7
Stewart + 8
Darrah + 9
Dietrich - 5

Not saying Deitrich wouldn't have fallen, but he also spun out, so he shouldn't be considered in with dropping because of car setup.
