Good question Wizzard Iwith the car counts the last couple shows I think they would be smart to cancel that one and put all their efforts into the Final Showdown.
Lets hope the drivers show Selinsgrove that they dont want to lose another track by supporting the Nace race this Saturday,to give some hope to any new promoter.

As of now, it seems drivers are split in where they are going to go.

I don't understand people wanting SSP to cancel its program. They had that date scheduled from the beginning. Rahmer moved his there.

I actually prefer racung at Susky over Path but the last 3 shows were not supported at all less than 20 cars,if both tracks try to run we have a choice of 2 weak shows or staying home and watching football.
Fred said on Winged Nation he was going to try to get some Ohio guys to come in for extra money, if they do that will be the better show.

Surprised to see no comment about Todd Shaffer's return. I know he wasn't overly successful, but making the show Sunday night is impressive enough. Any chance we see him in the 7 car the rest of the year or was this a one shot deal?

Your right it was impressive that he made the show , just on 2nd night in car, plus with a crew chief he wasn't familiar with . Todd was to meet with Dave Middlesworth this week is what I understand , lets hope they continue to race this year and longer ?

A few points in addition to Gators points , Port Royal did a great job in all aspects of putting on great shows in addition to the fair , new restrooms are great , lets hope some of the other tracks do the same for fans, yes, Donny Schatz will get 35 wins or more this year , lets hope that Daryn Pittman continues his winning ways , as he is a great guy , please fans and teams come out for the Jim Nace Memorial at Selinsgrove .At this point we don't know what will happen there ? but rumors are flying already one that Allan Kreitzer will be promoter and it may become a special events only track ?

There may not be anything going on at Selinsgrove next year as long as Charlie's being a stickler. Numerous people have been interested but none that want to give up an arm and a leg for the track equipment.

The best thing that can happen for Selinsgrove would be for Kreitzer to take over and make it a special events track. The weekly deal is dead in the water. They found their niche with the 358 division but times have changed and that isn't working anymore. I had a feeling the 360's weren't going to work right from the start and unfortunately it went exactly how I thought it would. I give him credit for taking a chance and going down swinging though. He did the same thing with the 358's and damned if it didn't pay off for many years. I think between the 410, ESS/URC, and their big Late Model shows, they can make a special schedule work. I just hope that whoever takes over cleans some of the shit out of the infield that blocks the view from the bleachers. Way too many obstructions but that being said, I still like the place and I'll be there for all of the 410 shows just like I've always been. All in all, its a great track and if you like speed, that's the place. They flat out haul ass around that place. Hopefully whatever happens turns out to be successful. Central Pa just wouldn't be the same without Selinsgrove.

It's not enough to keep me from going there but I agree. He means well but that guy is annoying as hell and a pain in the ass. Maybe I'm in the minority here but I think it's a bit bold for a guy to just walk around opening peoples coolers like he did at the Speedweek show. I'm sure no one has anything to hide but that's still someone's personal property and if he did it to mine, I'd feel inclined to tell him to fu__ off and keep his hands off my stuff. I like him on winged nation and its a great show but his live act is a little too NASCAR/WWE.

Steve Post is a good dude with good intensions...The guy loves the sport and wants to see it succeed...
If you don't like it just keep your comments to yourself..No need to run a guy into the ground for his passion!
I can't wait for Path in October...And if he goes through my cooler he can have anything he wants!!

Wayne Harper said it best At Lincoln..."calm down Steve...the races haven't started yet"...as the yelling started nearly an hour before any cars took to the track for hot laps.
I like the guy...just take away the mic.

I don't think anyone is running him in the ground. He's obviously a good dude who loves the sport but he's annoying with a mic in his face. I guarantee I would be too as would most people. Just being a nice guy who loves sprint cars doesn't make him a good announcer. Of course it's a matter if opinion too. I'm sure some people like his style but it isn't my thing. Regardless, I won't miss a 410 show at Path Valley whether he's there or not.
