during saturday nights event a woo official was observed collecting cash from t-shirt vendors @ their sales trailers that didn't pay "the fee' for being inside the fairgrounds. i guess we all love cash don't we?
Ascot was the greatest of all time..
West Capital wasn't half bad either..
Life is good...

Sounds like they allowed them to pay at the event rather than having to pre-register/pay... very nice of them to do it that way.

Sounds like a california thing to me. Was it a standard fee imposed by the fair for the rights to sell on their property or a payment for sales tax estimate or what. I know in Carlisle, Penn the promotors and vendors threatened to move the events to another friendlier state because of the sales tax situation. I believe the issue was finally resolved but I don't know the details. Speedbump is probably right, standard business practice. But why is it everyone seems to want a piece of the revenue? Especially the tax man.

I believe the vendors either pay a flat fee or a % of sales.....whichever they choose in advance.

Yea, this is standard practice in the concert world as well. Every venue gets a cut of the swag sales.
But hey, If the money goes back to the race teams in some way, shape, or form I don't see it being a bad idea!!
