After dominating the NCRA feature event at 81 Speedway, In victory lane, Wood and car owner Jimmy Eillison made a special announcement. “We have decided we want to donate these winnings ($2000) to the Stasa family recovery fund. We just hope that boy is going to be okay.” The donation is being made to former series regular Patrick Stasa, formally of Kingman, Kansas, who was critically injured two weeks ago in a grinding non-wing sprint car crash at Dodge City Raceway Park.
Regardless of age and limited schedule, Danny remains to be a great ambassador for the racing community. Great job Danny and good rewards for the remainder of the season.

When Danny was on the Outlaw tour he may have been the most liked most friendly driver out there. The fans often came to my booth wanting to buy pics of him after meeting him, he had the kind of effect on many of them....
