Here is the format for the Kyle Larson Outlaw Kart Showcase on September 8 at Cycleland Speedway. It's a Trophy Cup style format where passing karts & gaining points is the name of the game. All culminated with a 50-lap fully inverted 24 kart feature

---------------

Open Division Format

Qualifying

4 groups, each ¼ of cars entered. The first 2 groups (A1 and A2) will be designated together as Group A. The second 2 groups (B1 and B2) will be designated together as Group B.

Each group will qualify in a group car format (4 cars on track at a time) and be ranked in order of qualifying time in their respective group (A1 vs. A2 and B1 vs. B2).

The fastest timed cars in groups A1 and A2 will be ranked 1 and 2 in Group A, with their times compared against each other to make the rankings. With the same method the second fastest cars in groups A1 and A2 will be ranked 3 and 4 overall in the final qualifying results for Group A, the third fastest cars in group A1 and A2 will be ranked 5 and 6 overall in the qualifying order, and so on. Groups B1 and B2 will use the same process to rank Group B overall. 100 points each to fast time of Group A and B, and minus 1 point for every position thereafter in each group.

David Tarter and Tyler Wolf Memorial Fast Four Shootout

The fastest qualifiers in the four groups (A1, A2, B1, and B2) will go head to head in a final group session to determine the $1000 overall fast time award winner.

Top 60 qualifiers in Group A go to heats A1 thru A5, and top 60 qualifiers in Group B go to heats B1 thru B5.  The remaining cars will go into two 10 lap Last Chance races, with no points awarded. The non-qualifiers in Group A (61st fast and below) will go to LC1, and the non-qualifiers in group B (61st fast and below) will go to LC2. The top two from LC1 and LC2 will advance to the tail of the G main, with LC1 winner taking position 17 on the G main grid, LC2 winner 18th, LC1 second place 19th, and LC2 second place 20th.

Heat Races – 120 fastest qualifiers to heats A1-A5 and B1-B5/10 heats/12 cars per heat/inverted by 8/8 laps each.

100 points for first and minus 3 points for every position thereafter. No transfers to mains based on heat finish. Qualifying points will be totaled with heat points to determine lineups for A, B, C, D, E, F and G mains. Top 20 in points to A, 21-40 to B, 41-56 to C, 57-72 to D, 73-88 to E, 89-104 to F, 105-120 to G.  Any ties will be broken by qualifying time at all segments of format except overall championship points.*
