For those who aren't clairvoyant, I'll make a wild guess and assume this is about Sammy's excellent performance at the first night of the 2007 WoO Gold Cup at Chico Silver Dollar Speedway. Sammy qualified 5th fast in the Chico based Rod Fauver, Rudeen engined, #64. Went on to finish 3rd in his heat, started 6th in the A feature and worked forward to finish 2nd with a lap 28 pass on Brad Sweet.
We got interviews with winner Jonathan Allard of Chico and 3rd place finisher Brad Sweet of Grass Valley but the 64 and Sammy were no-shows on the front stretch for the post race interview. Was a great race showing by Sammy, in any case.
Friday the other half of the split field will run qualifying races with the big finale on Saturday.

Sorry about the interview, we were unaware they wanted all three cars out on the track. Sammy would have been more than happy to do the interview had we known. As it was as soon as he got in he was swamped by fans and newspaper interviews. But, we won't miss the post race interview on Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A disappointment this year? 6th place in points in both USAC National Sprint and Midget rankings for his first full time year is very impressive. The only disappointment here is that he seems to have the same temperment that his Dad has........Case in point, the Chilibowl, both were very unprofessional.

I don't know brother...Kevin seems to have had a decent season without a wing!
But his personality...yikes, a chip off the cranky, old block. If Dave does pursue a venture based upon the life and times of "The Slammer", it's going to have to be a picture book!
And it may only need a single picture...the patented Sammy scowl! Happy, sad, wedding, funeral...it's the same look...smile you old fart, your face won't break!
