Keith Kauffman was 62 when he won his last 410 feature.

Not sure about that? but we better enjoy it why it lasts!! He told us at his autogragh session at the nationals that this is his last year in a sprint car!! I've been a fan of Steve's since my first WoO race back in 1981 and I have to admit, its just not the same for me without him on the track! I went to the WoO race last night up at River Cities Speedway, and the racing was outstanding but still not the same for me without Steve Kinser on the track! It was a very sobering thought last Saturday at Knoxville knowing it was probably the last laps I'd see him turn there, maybe my last time all together? I can say for sure it's been one hell of a ride the last 34 years!!  Just want to wish him the best and a long healthy retirement!! LONG LIVE THE KING!!

The King. Nuff Said. He may not be what he was, but he's still better than most and he's 60 years old. The man is a true American bad ass

Karl Kinser should be a footnote as the man who molded the king into what he became.

No doubt that Karl Kinser was a big reason for Steve's long term success, but......Karl Kinser did choose Steve to pilot the #11 sprinter. That too adds to the wisdom of Karl Kinser's decision making abilities!

A true hero.  We are blessed when you look at what the famous stick and ball guys have been into the last few years.

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?
