Lawton Regulars Ready for Texas Outlaw Modifieds Saturday Night!

Lawton, Oklahoma – August 17, 2015 - The quarter mile, red-clay oval of Lawton Speedway in Lawton, Oklahoma is set to host the Texas Outlaw Modified Series this coming Saturday night (August 22) for their first and only appearance for the 2015 race season.

And if the tracks local modified regulars have anything to say about it, they will be the ones keeping the $1500 first place prize and bragging rights.

The TOMS is led by current point leader Bobby Malchus, who comes into the weekend with a very slim one point lead over Triston Dycus while Wesley Veal, Troy Taylor and ‘Lil Freaky,’ Clyde Dunn, Jr. round out the tours top five in point standings. Rounding out the top ten are Mike Dillard, Colby Smith, Josh Landers, Cody Smith and Chris Huckeba.

Looking to defend the tracks “home turf” are track regulars Stanley Reed, Jr., C.A. Nix, James Reed, current track point leader Jason Hilliard, Daniel Cox, Thomas Nunley, Travis Bragg, Lucas Steele and Chad Howell.

With the touring TOMS regulars, the tracks weekly modified regulars and some of the other top modified drivers from around the state of Oklahoma expected, at least thirty cars are not out of the question.

Also competing will be the tracks weekly divisions consisting of champ sprints, limited modifieds and mini stocks. Gates will open at 6:00 PM with race action slated for an 8:00 PM start time. Adult general admission price is $15; students ages 12-15 and seniors are just $10; ages 6-11 is $2 and children ages 5 and under will be admitted to the grandstands for free. All pit passes are $25.
