57 for me. Was able to add 2 this year so far #3 got rained out never went. Been  trying to get to several new ones a year but its getting harder to add as i've hit most within a five hour circle of my house that run openwheel cars. Maybe its time to move.lol

Mine is somewhere between 90 & 100, that includes NASCAR & IndyCar races, over 80 for just dirt.

Super Chuck says the Chucks have only been to 63, but this brings up a good question.  Do you count tracks that you make it to only to rainout?  What about some random track that you fence jump, climb the flag stand and take a real close look at?  Super Chuck's criteria is actually witnessing a race there, but it stinks to drive to Phenix City, AL, Hagerstown, MD and Lincoln, PA only to have it rain so he does have a list of tracks that were visited but no racing.

One on that list is Winchester Speedway.  On the way to Eldora about 15 years ago, Super Chuck got busted jumping the fence with the NO TRESSPASSING signs to take a closer look at the track.  Some burly guy wearing bibs and no shirt comes out of the grounds shed with what looked like a 3' crescent wrench...and he didn't look pleased.  Super Chuck quickly explains that he's a race nerd from Iowa and just HAD to see this race track.  The guy smiles and asked what SC was driving...uhhh a Nissan Altima?  You wanna take a few laps?  Well, is a frog's ass water-tight?!?  Of course!!!  He tells SC to keep it under 90 mph and take about 3 laps or so but on the last lap stop against the fence in turns 1-2.  Awesome!  Come to find out, the guy owns the place.  As we leave he meets us at the gate with a brochure and business card saying to call if we make it back that way and he'll comp us some tickets.  Completely cool dude and turned what could have been a miserable experience into a memorable one.

Sprint car tracks, 5 in Canada, 8 in Australia and not a clue in the USA but it covers 29 States and every single one was more positive than negative.  Decent amount for a guy from a small village in Southern Ontario....

There used to be a website that the extreme race chasers used to track their progress.   They had rules regarding what constitutes a "new track" like if they change configuration or surface then you can count it twice, how much of a show you had to see to have it count,  etc.

The leader had 1200+ tracks visited and I believe someone else just topped 1000 tracks in the spring.

I am at around 60ish, increasing at the rate of 1-3 per year right now.  (tough to do in Colorado...would be easier if I valued quanity over quality)

I started a spreadsheet a few years ago to keep tabs on the tracks I've visited by state, ranked them, listed memorable winners and other comments  (good & bad) .. only partially complete at this point.  Pretty nerdy... but might be cool to look back on when I'm done?  I'm sitting at 61 ... probably been to quite a few you have ... would like to compare notes sometime!  Wife & kids have gotten in the way of going to many new ones lately (sadly).  I've only counted the track if it was considered a complete show.  I have a few that rained during hotlaps, and haven't made it back.  They're listed at the bottom of my spreadsheet, but not ranked.

Cool story about Winchester... not sure I knew about that... at least in that detail!?

I was up to 49 the last time I dug the list out but there might be one or two more since then so I'll have to dig through the files and check it one of these days.  A couple years ago I decided to stop chasing races and let them come to me instead.  I've got two tracks both just a bit over 30 miles and those are the only two I'm going to now.  We get a PPV once in a while, mostly the Knoxville weekly show and I still get out and shoot photos a half dozen or so times per season.  Chasing 50 races per season and upgrading expensive camera equipment will no longer be sustainable with a non-race-fan wife and retirement two years on the horizon.  Brought a five year old grandson to his first Sprint Car race last Friday so that will be my goal to pass this desease on while I still can.  wink

I've been trying to remember all of them. I've come up with 63. I'm probably missing two or three, but that's all I can think of. Wish and had planned on it being more, but my work schedule has really slowed my opportunity for travel the last 10, or so, years.

For some reason I can't edit my post.

Id like to add, these are not all sprint car tracks. It's anywhere I saw an actual race. It includes Indy cars, midgets, mini sprints, and etc.
