Surprised there was no chatter on here about Stewart Friesen beating the Outlaws in Canada last night. Another second for Schatz...what's that like, a hundred?? Seems to me that would be a big story. While Friesen has sprintcar experience, I think he's best known as a dirt modified chaffeur (or Mr Jessica Zemkin). Guess it just shows there is talent all around the country. WoO is 1 for 6 since leaving Eldora, yikes.....I'm sure they'll be geared up for Knoxville.

No worries, reality will set in for the Posse on neutral ground in two weeks...

Not sure how Posse came into this discussion...they were racing in Canada. Just surprised that noone seemed to think that Stewart Friesen defeating the WoO was forum discussion worthy.

Simple, actually. Posts such as these are genearated more often than not by the minority of Posse fans who are WoO haters first, and sprint car fans second. So anxious to see the top tour fail that you are blinded. I'm sure glad you are in the minority of Posse fans. A fan can only carry on an intellegent conversation with another fan, when they are able to focus on good racing first, and the results second. The Feature that Stuart Friesen won was a great Feature. Period! There are a lot of WoO fans that appreciate an under funded team winning.

I would imagine it has to do with this.

Not like Friesen would have an axe to grind or anything.....

Not sure what you mean by a 'posts such as these'. I didn't say anything negative at all. So now you can't try to start a discussion about the results of a WoO race without being negatively labeled...jeez. Not a WoO hater, that's a bit presumptuous on your part. Just thought a win by a relatively unknown driver (not to fans in NY or Canada I guess) would generate a bit of discussion.

Yes Cubic--Stewart Friesen is better than the outlaws. I don't think there is any question. I have been worried that Schatz may ruin another Nationals for me by winning again. But, maybe Stewart Friesen will sign in and all of my worries will be gone.
Seriously though, congratulations Stewart for winning against the Outlaws.

Sorry, I wasn't referring to your post, just responding to your question of how the Posse was brought in to the discussion. I think it was due to the fact that a Posse fan who is generally a name caller and WoO hater was recognized (and a minority among Posse fans). So a WoO fan returned the favor, which is lowering his self to someone elses level, quite frankly. Your post was genuine. This should have been a discussion about the race and the result not a continuation of the rivalry between the Posse and the WoO. I most certainly can start a discussion or get in to a discussion without labelling anything or anybody. But the person who posted the second post on this chat can not. It seemed to escalate from there. I should have said "posts such as those"....again, sorry.

The classless ESPN interview aside, Friesen is an amazing racer. He is as good as any racer in the country right now. It's amazing how much success he has had against the Outlaws with the limited number of Sprint Car starts in general or 410 Sprint Car starts specifically he has had. He also had a fifth-place finish against the Outlaws at Weedsport (N.Y.) earlier this season.
Friesen has won the Super DIRT Week big-block Modified race at the Syracuse Mile three of the past five years. Last year, he passed the entire field on the racetrack in the last 50 laps after a series of mid-race pit stops to repair a broken shock, which is pretty much an unheard of experience at the notoriously one-lane Syracuse Mile.
Friesen followed up the Outlaw win by winning again on Wednesday night in a special Jack Johnson tribute race for big-block Modifieds at Fonda (N.Y.) Speedway, where he completely dominates on Saturday nights. He also won a DIRT series Modified race at Five Mile Point (N.Y.) Speedway last month.
All that aside, LOL at the posters wanting to hijack a thread about a Modified driver born in Ontario and living in New York beating the Outlaws into a thread about the Posse.
