Volusia, not a chance.  It turns into more of a paved track after a few nights on it.  Todays current paved track used to be the dirt track and the racing was much better on it.....sorry!

Just noticed, that's two Outlaw tracks in a row, hope that's not where your priorities lie because there is better racing at about a dozen different tracks every Fri and Sat night that isn't Outlaw racing...

The races down there have been outstanding lately. I've never been, but it's on my list.

I really enjoy the videos of each track that show a note worthy race. Gives me something to watch during my break at work!

As for Volusia being the fastest half mile... They have fudged the numbers on that one. Its a half mile on the outside fence where Knoxville is 1/2 mile to the inside berm. If they are running on or outside the fence the 140 mph average is accurate. At Knoxville if your running the middle or the top speeds are actually fastest than what the average would appear.

Don't want to start a whole fastest track debate just some quic simple facts. It fine if they want to say its the fastest 1/2 mile in the nation. Its by no means slow I'll give it that!

1600, I haven't been there for a decade but I saw dozens of races prior to and only a few were very good.  They never had decent clay and it just turned rock hard after night 1, all I can go on is what I saw, over and over but if it's different now, more power to them....

I have watched it for years on Dirtvision to, dummy.......I also talk with friends who go to the races, something you can't quite figure out and nobody has ever used the expression racy place in any connection with Volusia in any conversation I've ever heard....You only wish you were an 'expert' on anything, other than being wrong.....

If Kokomo ain't in the top 5...Then I will question this list...I hope USAC Wingless tracks are counted...

Dirt brother.  If you don't like how he does his job, then go to school and be a journalist.  Though I don't agree with some stuff he says or his opinions, I do like that he's getting more coverage of auto racing In central pa.  I remember when there was barely any newspaper articles or anything.  Now he does contests, news articles, interviews on the radio show.  I don't agree with volusia or Charlotte being in top 25, but, its the same with the top 25 drivers he did last year.

I will defend Charlotte. Been there the last three years, and the racing was really good. Volusia has been good the last few years. Again, the list was very difficult. Racing back in the pack as well as passing up front is the main considerations in this list.

If I wasn't at a place, I polled drivers, teams and people who have been to a ton of tracks. Sorry if I'm not catoring to the PA Posse, not my job to be a homer. If I only went with PA stuff, it would be kind of difficult to be impartial. Don't worry, there are a few PA tracks on here.

As for USAC, there are some tracks that host USAC on the list. The criteria is that you have to host a 410 Sprint Car race or series during the season.

You dont have to defend anything, who cares? Its a simple list, an opinion, any idiot who some how feels offended by the this list isnt worth a response. "OMG Jeremy said Volusia is the 25th raciest track, I need to let him know he is wrong and my opinion is better". I nominate MSPN as greatest Sprintcar fan of all time, I mean he knows everything about the sport, he's an authority on track prep, obviously can spot a racey track way better then anyone, and is just an all around know it all in dirt track racing.  I also nominate the chuckle head Dirt Brother as the most Pa Posse proud, because he understands what Posse pride is REALLY all about. I'll bet Dirt Brother has all the stickers of all the different posse cars all over the rear window of his 1999 GMC Jimmy, You are the biggest Posse of them all, congratulations!!!

No need to defend Jeremy. People that sling insults due to an opinion (most certainly only 2 tracks in no less) aren't people you really want to really deal with.  I'm more interested to see what all tracks you list so I might partake myself in some of the tracks you note that I haven't been to. Take it easy Jeremy.

My previous post has little to do w/ this article. (for obvious reasons! I didn't even read it). (I just know it will be bass ackward! lol!) I just feel like this douche is an outsider or moron finally doing a little PA Posse research to get a phucking check. Sorry if that was a hard rant. I just smell a phony!! P.S. I honestly I hope he proves me wrong. P.P.S. This applies to pretty much all previous gators posts.

Welcome to the world of Mike nelligan. Throwing his "expert opinion" out there about something he knows absolutely NOTHING about is his day job. If only he could have made a career out of being a liar, he'd be a billionaire. Anyway Volusia is a perfectly fine racetrack. In my humble opinion East Bay is my favorite track in FL. A few tracks that I personally think could make the list....Lincoln, Putnamville, Haubstadt, Dodge City, Husets, Chico.

Ford97, for starters anyone who uses a crappy car and his IQ as his handle in this forum, well....

A few things ya' need to know, my new Passport will be here any day and I will be back there (the good ol' USA) anytime, I do regret the loss of my US Social Security Number in my wallet loss but I can reapply for one of those also.  I spent a lot of years going to tracks and letting people in this forum know my schedule, not a bad word or attack from anyone, go figure.  I don't hide behind a keyboard using aliases, never have and never will unlike you and Wendal, lol.  An assault would have been welcome back in the day, 30 years of competitive hockey had me well prepared for anything, these days not so much....

PS  Wendal, been to all your tracks save Dodge City and have likely been to tracks in more States than you have tracks....

Sorry to Jeremy for being a part of the high-jack here, I stated opinions and the losers did their attack game and I don't let it go for the most part, my bad....
