The ASCoC had 15 or so cars at Hartford, Granted not many 410's out there. IRA had 33 last night at Oshkosh. Tonight at Wilmot I predict 45 to 50 cars and it will be great. Track prep and the new clay will be tested. This will be fun.
I tell it like I see it.

Shut up! Shut up! Shut up! I can't make it tonight-so no matter how many cars show up please post that it was terrible and only 15 cars showed. And if there are modifieds again, please just tell me they spun out all night lo.........oh wait, that won't be a lie.
Maddog and Larryitis--this goes for you too!!!

Super excited for tonight! Heading in early, and staying late. I remember this race last year being a lot of fun. It was one of the best nights I've ever seen at Wilmot as far as track prep. I expect the same for tonight.

I'll say maybe 6-8 all stars. Sounds like a few aren't coming because they lost motors last night.

No disrespect at all to Danny Smith but his showing up at a race track anymore doesn't carry much weight. He dropped off the radar quite a while ago.

ASCoC format was used. 4 qualifying groups/heats with cars only timing against their heat race groups for the 4 car heat inversion. Dash was top 2 finishers in the heats plus the next 2 quickest from overall time trials. Feature lined up by dash results followed by heat race finishing order. Pretty sure the dash draw was pull your own spot, not a grudge draw but the series might have permanately changed it that way back in May but I'm not sure. The new HR-15 tire was not allowed as IRA doesn't use that tire

I did not say they changed the format, I said I heard half the allstars did not showup because they had a dispute with the format.

The only one that I'd be surprised not to see out of who you mentioned is Holtgraver. I'm pretty sure that Sheldon is running on a very limited budget and won't travel that far for a show. Helms really doesn't surprise me that much because part of the controversy in the off season was about long distance travel, and his father was instrumental in the temporary split.

Holtgraver and Helms weren't at Hartford on Friday either. PPM raced with MOWA at Macon instead (90 mile further travel to Macon vs Wilmot), Sheldon made a last minute change of plans and was non-winging it at Waynesfield in the Brown Racing 99 at the Jack Hewitt Classic, and Holtgraver was in a late model in PA

I agree 100% on the Modifieds having to go. I was shocked that they ran their feature non stop when they couldn't get out of their own way in their heats. I cringe when they come on the track. The one good thing about having them in the show is it gives you plenty of time to hit the restroom, grab another Beer and some food and get back to your seat without missing anything you spent good money to see. SPRINT cars.............
