ANother good run for Sammy in the new ride as well. I have to admit he's doing better than I thought he would as he's heading to the front.

Danny Dietrich put on one hell of a show tonight. I thought for sure Schatz would run away with it off the front row and once he got Saldana, I figured it was a done deal. Danny did everything right and straight up out drove the best sprint car driver in the world at one of his best tracks. Quite an accomplishment to say the least. And once again, Schatz conducted himself with nothing but class even though I'm sure he was extremely frustrated about running 2nd again and most of all, being booed relentlessly by a few thousand idiots who obviously have no class whatsoever. A true professional and an all around class act.

people get tired of seeing the same guy win all the time. In IRA Bill Balog whopped up on the other IRA teams! but I never boo,d him. I just had to admit he was better than the rest. as is schatz. and I think Schatz knows why they Boo him. Schatz just reacts like a class act,

Slightly more epic than Schatz running out of fuel IMO.
the 27 was destroyed after being turned into the outside guardrail at full speed exiting turn 2.
we watched 4 guys struggling to get the engine separated from the rear end...the front right frame rails were broken and mangled.

Wow... I thought it was all over when Schatz drew the pole for the Dash. It was SO much fun to watch Dietrich pass him, & every restart I was worried Donnie would retake the lead....great race!
I think Dietrich came up from 11th? No whining about the Grove this time
Enjoyed watching Sammy move up too...
& like the other guys said, Donnie showed good sportsmanship.... hats off to a great driver
Glad I drove 5 hrs. for this!
Tonite??? big $$$ now....

Was a legitimately great race, glad to see the grove surface back to normal after a couple of tough years. Also glad to see the pa rednecks return, always a good sign the sport is healthy in Pa when you see a couple thousand fans heckle the best sprint car driver in the world.

Did anyone have a good view of Hodnett's accident? Couldn't tell if there was contact with McMahon from my vantage point. He had a great chance at a podium finish...don't think he had anything for the 48 though.

Where's the replay of the contact? I missed that, and had the PPV also.

JG said contact between McMahan and Hodnett in the video highlights posted.
The 51 clipped the right rear of Hodnetts tail tank and turned him into the wall coming out of two. "Broke" the lower rail of the chassis on the right front...heavy impact with the wall at full speed.
the tail tank was pushed into the most contorted position I have ever seen but still connected...everything was bent so bad they were beating on everything in sight to lift the engine out with the wrecker hoist.
Hodnett know exactly how to plant cars in the frontstretch wall at full speed...if he wants to get even.

Great to see Dietrich put on such a run, but was it a double file restart? Then 9th is really a little like starting 5th.

DD started the Amain in position #9. His move of the night came on a double file restart..he was in position 5, dropped to 6th at the line, passed Swindell, McMahon, and Wolfe through 1 and 2, then slid Saldana in 3 and 4 for second place. Technically, he went from 6th to 2nd in 3/4 of a lap.
