JACKSON, MN – The final night of the 2015 Jackson Sprint Touring Series Speed Week concluded Saturday night, July 18, at the historic Jackson Speedway. The evening’s racing program, sponsored by Tri County Implement, featured a total of 81 racers in the pits.

Claiming the Feature wins in the Minnesota West Sport Compact Class was Jay DeVries of Spencer, IA, while Justin Nehring of Storm Lake,IA, took the checkers in the Loosbrock Digging Service IMCA Hobby Stock feature. Winning the Bohl’s Small Engine and Marine Sport Modifieds was Danny Myrvold of Heron Lake, MN,  while Dustin Larson of Rushmore, MN claimed the checkers in the Hometown Motors IMCA Stock Car Feature. The Wilmont Oil/Redline Racing IMCA A Modified event saw Brandon Beckendorf of Danube, MN earn the victory and for the Jackson Speedway Touring Series/Last Deck 360 Winged Sprint feature, Gregg Bakker of Sioux Falls, SD, would take the checkers.

In heat race action, the Sport Compact winners were Jay DeVries and Kaytee DeVries, while Hobby Stock heat wins went to Justin Nehring and Ernie Dailey.  Winning the Sport Modified heats were Danny Myrvold, Jason Andrews and Dan Paplow, with the Stock Car heat wins going to Jim Larson and Dustin Larson. Winning the A Modified heat race checkers went to Brandon Beckendorf and Jesse Rogotzke. The JSTS Sprint Car heat winners were Bill Boles, Dusty Ballenger and Bruce Anderson.

This week will be filled with racing action for the 2015 Jackson County Fair, with a return visit of the FVP-National Sprint League on Thursday, July 23, sponsored by Abdo, Eick & Meyers, Pioneer Seeds and Tri County Implement. Saturday night, July 25, will be the Jackson Speedway Hall of Fame Night, featuring the Midwest Sprint Touring Series 360 winged sprints competing in the Barb Wieskus Memorial. Racing action will be sponsored by Houseman Oil of Estherville, IA and Jackson Sports of Jackson, MN.. Hot Laps will start at 6:30 p.m. with racing to follow and Fireworks over the speedway at the conclusion of the evening’s racing program.
