Series Continues At
Fairmont Raceway
FAIRMONT, MN – The third night of the 2015 Jackson Speedway Touring Series Speedweek Series traveled east on Interstate 90 to the high-banked half mile at the Fairmont Raceway Friday, July 17. With sponsorship by the State Bank of Fairmont for the JSTS traveling series, the Property Solutions of America-Midwest Sprint Car Series 360 winged sprints also pulled into the facility at the Martin County Fairgrounds for the Richard White Memorial Sprint Car Races.
Also sponsoring Friday’s racing action were Baarts Trucking, A&J Trucking, Gaalswyk Trucking, Packer Sanitation, DirtTrack Racecars, Bill & Sandy Johnson and the Richard White Family. A total of 28 360 winged sprint cars filled the pits for the evening’s racing action.
Winning the JSTS/Property Solutions of America-Midwest Sprint Car Series 360 winged sprint feature for the second night in a row was Ian Madsen of St. Mary’s New South Wales, Austrailia. The “B” feature for the sprints went to Dillon Peterson of Sioux Falls, SD.
In heat race action, the heat winners were Scott Winters of Butterfield, MN; Jody Rosenboom of Rock Rapids, IA; Kaley Gharst of Decatur, IL and Ian Madsen of St. Mary’s New South Wales, Australia.
The JSTS Speedweek Series continues concludes Saturday night, July 18, back at the Jackson Speedway.
The following week will also be filled with racing action for the 2015 Jackson County Fair, with a return visit of the FVP-National Sprint League on Thursday, July 23, sponsored by Abdo, Eick & Meyers, Pioneer Seeds and Tri County Implement and the Barb Wieskus Memorial racesand Jackson Speedway Hall of Fame Night on Saturday, July 25, with racing sponsored by Houseman Oil of Estherville, IA and Jackson Sports of Jackson, MN.. Hot Laps will start at 6:30 p.m. with racing to follow and Fireworks over the speedway at the conclusion of the evening’s racing program.
