Arctic Cat Joins Steve Kinser Racing for Kings Royal, Knoxville Nationals and World Finals

Kraig Kinser To Drive No. 11k Arctic Cat Wildcat in Sprint-Car Racing’s Marquee Events

Plymouth, Minnesota (July 15, 2015) – Arctic Cat, one of the most widely recognized and respected names in the snowmobile, ATV and side-by-side industry, announced today the company will partner with Steve Kinser Racing and driver Kraig Kinser for three of the biggest Sprint car races of the 2015 season. Kinser will pilot an Arctic Cat Wildcat-branded No. 11k in the 32nd annual Kings Royal at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, the 55th annual Knoxville Nationals at Knoxville (Iowa) Raceway, and the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series season-ending World Finals at The Dirt Track @ Charlotte Motor Speedway.

“Arctic Cat is proud to sponsor the No. 11k of Kraig Kinser for the 32nd annual Kings Royal race at Eldora Speedway,” said Tracy Crocker, Vice President and General Manager of Arctic Cat’s ATV Division. “When we place the Arctic Cat name on a vehicle, you know it’s built with pride for people who appreciate technology, quality and a long-running tradition of grabbing life by the steering wheel and holding on with conviction.”

The special-schemed No. 11k Arctic Cat car will be unveiled during a public ceremony Friday at 4:30 p.m. at Tony Stewart’s Eldora Speedway on the midway behind the turn three suites. Representatives from Arctic Cat and both Kraig and Steve Kinser will be part of the unveiling.

“We couldn’t be more excited to have Artic Cat join us for the biggest races of the year,” said Steve Kinser, team owner and father of Kraig Kinser, who will pilot the No. 11k Arctic Cat car. “These are the events you want to have success in and being able to bring a company like Arctic Cat along for the ride is really exciting. Our fans are some of the most loyal in all sports. I know many of them not only have a passion for Sprint-car racing, but all sorts of outdoor sports. We’re thrilled to be able to showcase them during this special opportunity.”

The three-race partnership will showcase the Arctic Cat brand to fans all across the United States and from around the world. These marquee events are the ones every Sprint-car team puts high on their list of goals at the beginning of the season.

“Everyone wants to do well in the biggest races and we are really thrilled to be racing in them driving an Arctic Cat car starting this weekend,” said Kraig Kinser, 2005 Knoxville Nationals champion. “You spend the first part of the season concentrating on finding the right combination so you can be at your best at these bigger events. We’ve had some good opportunities in the past, and we’re really looking forward to this one. We’re going to do everything we can to come out on top and park the Arctic Cat car in victory lane.”

Kinser is currently 10th in the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series standings through 44 races. The Bloomington, Indiana native is hoping to qualify for his seventh $50,000-to-win Kings Royal Saturday. The event begins Sprint car racing’s “Month of Money,” which culminates with the Knoxville Nationals Aug. 12 to 15. Kinser became the second-youngest driver at 21 to win the heralded race in August 2005. He and Steve Kinser are the only father-son combo to win Sprint-car racing’s most coveted trophy.
