Mike Boston’s #51 failed to fire for the Racesaver IMCA Sprint Car A, relegating him to the 20th position in the final results. Nate Weiler’s 54, the 93 of Ryan King, Matt Richards in the 1R and Dan Satriano’s 95 were the top 4 after lap 1. Clint Benson put his #100 into fourth on lap 2. Richards took second for a moment on lap 4 before losing the spot to Benson. Adam Gullion took over fourth on lap 5 in the 91 before taking third on lap 7. Benson snagged the lead on lap 10 , but Richards spun in turn 4 and the action slowed. At that time the top 4 were Weiler, Benson, Gullion and the 18 of Terry Richards. Benson moved back into first on the restart and was followed into second on lap 13 by Gullion. Richards moved to third and Trevor Grossenbacher took fourth the next lap. Grossenbacher continued his march to the front, advancing to third with 10 to go and then moving to second the next time around. With 3 to go Grossenbacher passed Benson for the lead. The next lap saw Richards pass Gullion for third. At the checkers it was Grossenbacher, Benson, Richards and Gullion. Gullion was disqualified for installed spring pressure not conforming to the rules during the tech inspection after the race. That put Toby Chapman’s 7KX into fourth and moved all others in the A up one position.
Grossenbacher’s victory came from the 12th starting position. “I haven’t had a more fun race all season!! It was a really good night, and even better because almost my whole family was here tonight to see it. Thanks to my mom and dad for their support and to my crew for giving me such a fantastic car. Also, the biggest thanks to my wife and son who give me a reason to win” Grossenbacher stated. Grossenbacher’s sponsors include Stop ‘n Shop, Lincoln Winnelson, WC’s South, Husker Diesel and Mark Schmidt Enterprises.
I am lucky enough to work at one of the best tracks
