No one has written anything on it so here goes. Rico Abreu last night qualified fast and started 6th in A. He proceeded to take an easy roll in two and I thought he was done. They fixed car in allotted time and he rejoined the field pulling up the rear. He worked his way through the field partly because of a couple of yellows and restarted third with three to go. First Thone sputtered before the green and that out Rose on point. Bill Rose took the green only to sputter himself allowing Rico clear sailing. Can't blame him for taking advantage of the attrition. I watched Rico interact with the fans at his trailer and he was great. The line was very long and he took time with everyone. Great kid.

Sure hate to see this guy going NASCAR. Would love to see some of our young stars staying in sprint car racing full time. Would really love to see him on the WoO tour. I wasn't a big fan of his at first, but I definetly am now.

That was a pretty impressive drive. yellows did give him some help but once he got to third I think he for sure would have won even if first and second didn't drop out. The move that impressed me was when he passed two cars on the inside of the frontstretch then right as turn one started he turned sharp right running straight toward to the cushion and then a quick sharp left banging the cushion and passing the next two cars in turn one and two. Not hard to believe Rico winning races but he really worked for this one. The track looked really nice but it didn't really produce alot of passing making his run from the back even more impressive.

He did something I have never heard from any driver, during his Victory Lane speech, he invited everyone to his trailer to talk and get autographs. In this day and age of drivers with no people skills, this is a welcome sight. He seemed to enjoy the intraction with the fans and he put in a lot of time takig pictures, signing etc. well into the early morning hour. The line was huge. He earned a fan just based on this. Nice kid.....
