Davey "DJ" Hamilton Jr. had a great run (considering that one-lane 1/4-mile track) in the midgets, coming from seventh to third in Tanner Swanson's #4, a car he'd never driven before. Then from fifth to win in the winged 410 sprints after banging wheels in turn two of the last lap to squeeze through. (Kenny Hamilton, btw, led for about six laps as well, before he got pushed around and out.)
It was a really good pavement show (for a dirt eater like me). Two midget classes (one going 100 laps, 97 of them in a row after two yellows); no less than 17 hard-running, '60s vintage, "hardtop" super mods; gobs of '60s era Chevy II midgets; a demo that included a beautiful Oswego legend Jim Champine -type winger vs. an Indy roadster; a bunch of asphalt mods; a group of asphalt, 360, non-wing sprints; a feature with seven SRL, offset 360, winged supers; and finally, the KotW races.
BTW, the full midgets ran their fastest laps at about :14.0, the 360 non-wing sprints at about :13.9, the SRL 360s at about :13.3, and the winged 410s at about :12.9.

Jim Shampine? I would have liked to seen that. What's that car doing out here? I saw it race a few times back east before joining up with Uncle Sam.
