Congratulations to rookie super sprint driver Sheldon Barksdale on his first ever sprint car feature victory. Also congrats to Frank Dittman on holding off his best friend in the champ sprint division to pick up the win Sunday night.
Also kudos to Mark Brill and Stanley on their feature victories and to Chris Burns (both), Stanley Reed, Jr., Mark Brill and Kevin Becker on your repeat championships.

Congrats Sheldon. He ran a great race, and he really had to hit his marks on that last restart with Peters behind him.

I go to many tracks in the 4-state area (OK, AR, MO, KS) and OKC's races rank amongst the top in being the rest run. This was my first time going there this year and as usual it was a great show.

I thought Barksdale showed a lot of poise in not making any rookie errors with a veteran like Mike Peters behind him. But we were suprised Peters didn;t attempt to go high in turn 1. But Mike Peters also showed once again why he is one of the best drivers around. Not just becasue he's good, but he is clean as well. Some (most know which) would have ran over the kid. It's good to see good sportsmanship like that.
But I was wondering if ya'll saw the same thing I did in the modified feature. Anyone see that yellow 72 go in the infield and instead of coming out low of turn 4 pull right back out in turn 3 and make a wide turn causing the leader (black 83) to fly off the track to miss him? The guy got dq'd right after that for making contact with Dena Wilson........but what that 72 car did was wayyyyyy dangerous - and it screwed the leader. So with that being said..........why wasn;t he disqualified? thoughts anyone?

Fan 12,
I saw that too. Don't know who he is, but I guess he stopped on the front straight, expressed his opinion and was shown the black flag. He apparently isn't a favorite or an OKC regular or he'd have probabaly not have been DQ'ed. I'm not saying that goes on at SFS,but you know what/who I'm talking about.

Yah man, I really thought Mike would get by him there at the end but as usual I was wrong. Great job to Sheldon !!!
My group was wondering the same thing. I really don't think they have enough people watching from the booth. That kind of stuff happens all the time this season. Too bad for alot of teams too. I know several times they have blown it this year.
