First, kudos to the promotor given the heavy rain in the late afternoon along with strong winds throughout the evening's events.

Second, a bit of disappointment at the small car count.  Actually there were only 17 cars in the main event as Ronnie Clark suffered what appeared to be major engine problems during the heat race.  Unfortunately low car counts seem to be a continuing situation with racing and the economy.  I long for the good old days at Ascot when there would be sufficient cars that a consolation race beyond the normal semi-main was required.

Third, great run by R. J. Johnson as he came from far back in the pack to win.

Fourth and last, the $18 ticket cost with no discount for seniors stung a bit!
