I think it's about time other outlaw teams get their shit together. This dude is making an ass out of everyone else right now. Just saying.

I am FAR from a Schatz fan... but with the equipment,  crew chief,  crew, and chemistry the team has... along DS being a hell of a driver (that's hard for me to say about Mr Personality), he seems unstoppable!

Easy for you to say.... you don't think they'd beat him if they could?

You don't they'd figure something out by now? He's only been dominating since February.

Donny has been the guy to beat for a long time, since 2066 really..How many times did he get beat at Kville til he fiannaly won? he could/should have atleast 3 more natinals victories if it hadn't been for blowing tires and getting passed on the last few laps.He has paid his dues, he' was lapped traffic for long time til he got to where he was up front and getting top 10's and top 5's.

Here the thing about Schatz

1- he is in his prime

2-has the best team/crew/equipment

3-makes the right moves at the right time/makes very few errors

4-has luck...

5-he's proffesional....takes his job serious, and his job is to win

Stewart has been the closest but they have a new team, and from what I have seen are still learning. I'm not sure what to say sbout the others. I have to agree, getting beat by the same guy every week has got to be getting old to alot of these guys. When Steve.Sammy and Wolf were all running in there prime it was no different...unfortunetly there's no real talant match at Donny's level, don't get me wrong there are quite a few guys out there that can beat him, they are just not out on the WoO tour and in top notch peices.

The older I get, the faster I used to be.

Maybe they need to give a bonus to drivers who finish ahead of him (kidding of course). If they did then very rarely would they have to pay out that bonus this year. I'm not a Schatz fan and I know he rubs people the wrong way for some reason or another but I have big time respect for the guy and what he can do and is doing now. I used to leave the track mad when he won, now when he wins i just shake my head in aww of what he can do. Hats off to him

Best Driver+Best Crew Chief+Crew+Best Equipment=Damn Near Unbeatable.

I'am not a Schatz fan per say myself..The family has some good stock..Danny (his father) was no slouch in a sprint car either..He would come to Winnipeg and surrounding tracks(Grand Forks/Fargo/Minot) and would kick some serious ass..When Donny ran the family car the resources were there as were the sponsors..He's gone through lots of equipement in his younger years learing and has come full circle..He is GOOD, probably the best thats out there now, and I'am including all the other circurts...He has good backing and crew with a great family behind him..Watch him drive a Late Model, he's just as good but not quite as good as with the sprinter...

Ain't no different that what The King was doing in the 80's and early 90's before he had his Cup experiment.

Donny should win.... with as long as he has been at it and really its all he has done is drive a sprint car...there probably wont be anyone come along and have the success he is having because those with lots of talent move on to where the big money is .....Gordon Kahne  Larson Bell RIco to name a few,,,I have often wondered why he has not been offered other types of rides...........

Kind of hard to figure something out whenever the biggest thing making it happen is the guy behind the steering wheel. You can't just go out and buy your own Donny Schatz. There is only one of those and he's the best on the planet right now. Does he have a great crew chief, great funding and good equipment? Absolutely but so does Pittman, Stewart, Saldana and most of the other teams who are out there. From what I've seen in most of his wins in recent years, more times than not Donny just flat out drives everyone. You never seem him make a mistake and he always seems to make all the right moves at the right times. Its called raw, natural talent and he has more of it than anyone.

Actually, this is not ignorant at all.  This guy is dead on.    Every time we get some young driver that displays a high level of talent they move on to NASCAR.    Larson is racing on Sunday now.   Rico and Christopher Bell are going that direction too.   Kevin Swindell may or may not make it, but apparently he would much rather do that than race sprints for a living.   How is this ignorant?

I've been a Steve Kinser fan all my life so can understand what you are all saying!! For years I heard all these same compaints, when your a fan your on top of the world, when your not its a long season! If us fans are feeling this way imagine how the other drivers on the WoO tour feel!? It can't be fun getting your ass handed to you every night. I attended my first WoO race without SK on Friday and it just wasn't the same for me after all these years, and was saying the same thing. When is someone going to stop Donny Schatz!!! I hate to say it people,  but Donny and the 15 team are on their A game and it could be a loooong time before someone can take them down!! Donny is even our home town boy, and never have been a big fan, but I do respect what he's doing because he was out on the road a long time before he was able to win like he does!!!

It's scary because he usually doesn't pick up until July. A couple of years back, they made a big deal of him finally getting to 20 wins in a season, he'll probably have that before the month of money begins this year!

He was offered some sort of NASCAR ride no idea on details but he turned it down because he loves sprint car racing and this was before he was so dominant. Believe he talked about it on Winged Nation few months back.

I agree, it was not an ignorant post. Add to it, that Donny has been with the same team much longer than anyone else, so of course they have it together. In the history of the WoO to present day, there have only been two drivers stay at the top of there game even though they had several Ownwers....namely Wolfgang (until he got hurt the first time in '92)  and Swindell. The King had Karl for around 17 years, and when Steve went on his own, he had Gerkin who he had when he was with Karl.

So since Schatz has been racing for awhile and hasn't tried his hand in asphalt he should win in a Sprint Car? He is taking away from everything that every great Sprint Car driver has accomplished. So since Steve, Mark Kinser, Dave Blaney, Sammy all couldn't get it done on asphal that makes them less of a racer then gordan, Larson, bell, and abreu? 3 of which haven't even been in asphalt long enough to say they made it. And if Schatz should be winning because that's all he's ever did is race dirt then why aren't guys like Pittman, Saldana, Madsen, Sides, Mcmahon all doing what schatz is doing?  His statement totally minimized what the 15 is doing and what any other great Sprint Car driver has done because a couple great talents went to asphalt and of everyone you've named how many have stayed in NASCAR? Bash me if you want but if you want to be pro NASCAR there's different forums for that. To me you took a swing at sprint car racing and everything the great drivers and crew men have built.

Schatz needs a villain that can run with him like Steve had with Sammy and Doug, though Doug was not a villain. One thing Schatz has that no other team has as much of is confidence. His desire to win has to be off the charts as well. These human factors have to be figured in along with the mechanical ones.

I agree. Meyers was onto something before you stepped back. The problem we are running into now is that there are so many teams within the WoO and around the country that can win its unreal. The team combination of owner, partners, crew, and driver that the 15 have are a really scary combination. And if they all stay together they will reign supreme for another handful of years. Which is scary.
