Topic: Jackson Speedway to run 410 Friday's next year?

The NMRA board says that the new Husets owner stated that Jackson is moving to Fridays next year to run 410's? Anybody else know about this? Sounds like Jackson Fridays, Husets/Knoxville Saturdays, ??? Sundays. Sad to see the only Sunday 410 track go away, just like Selinsgrove.
Also, what happens to the NSL with this schedule? Only so many 410's to go around.

The NSL will continue to schedule with weekly 410 programs at those tracks running 410's and on non weekly event nights when scheduleing at tracks that don't have either a weekly program or in particular a 410 program. Should not be a problem.

No offical anouncment has come from Jackson Speedway. I don't see Jackson running 410's every Friday, maybe a limited number of Fridays with the normal show on saturday night.

IF this works out, and I'm not saying it can or can't. But if it does, this could be great for sprint car fans in the area. 410's on Friday and Saturday, less then 100 miles apart. That's frickin rad! BUT, please, please, please do something with the surface at Jackson. That tire eating monster is not conducive to 410 racing and lays rubber EVERY time within the first 5 laps of a 410 feature, if not sooner. Usually the 360's lay rubber. This is nothing new, it literally happens every time unless it's completely soaked, and in that case the end result is the same. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. That place has so much potential and I know its headed in the right direction but something has to be done with the dirt itself, not just the shape. And, yes, I am an expert on this topic.

Ya (10) 410s on Saturday is gonna be crazy! ...... Or you could have (3) 410 races Fri Sat and Sun within 350 miles.

You're totally right, it could flop big time. But it also has the potential to work. And if it does, Knoxville will be just fine and all the grumblings will be quickly forgotten. Time will tell. I don't like this change at all but I'm going to remain optimistic until it becomes reality.

The Sunday track for Sprints used to be North Starr Speedway in Blaine, Minnesota, through 1979 the year they closed. Maybe one of the tracks up here will step up to the plate like it was back in the old days. I can only hope.
