Who is to say Schatz couldn't have won in 30 laps that year. He looked to be cruising and patient picking off guys at will. Once he decided it was time he just drove away from them.

Exactly.
He took his time because he had some time. He was in the lead by lap 41 and won by 4 seconds.
In 2011, he started 13th and had the lead by lap 13.

1981 Tim Green was an alternate for the "C", made it to 9th in the "A".

Didn't Hodnett come out of the B to like third in the A, in the 8tw, one year. If not the B, he came from very deep in the A.

Hmmm.....Doesn't Danny Lasoski have 4 Knoxville Nationals under his belt? I spoke with him out at the Winter Heat events in January, his confidence is higher than I can remember, that and a good car is definite threat to win on any night, anywhere.

Danny hasn't had a car like this under him in years! With the trust he has in Guy turning the wrenches and Tod's equipment, this is a very dangerous combination. Physically he is 56 years old going on 36. Mentally, his determination is just as strong as it has ever been. Some of you need to sit back and look, this team hasn't even ran 20 races together yet!!
