In football or hockey or baseball when you retire and you might get gifts or special treatment at the "last time" you will race at a certain racetrack (any racetrack) honoring your retirement. In racing when you retire, espcially sprint car racing as we have seen in the last year, these special events given to you honoring your retirement at tracks around the country, you'd expect you wouldn't see these drivers again, thus the reason for these special events given in their honor, often just holding up the nights program for a half hour (yeah we need more delays) while you are honored, and often with fairly expensive gifts like a $300 rocking chair (or whatever). Swindell did it the right way, hats off to him. Kinser did it the wrong way, half dozen kicks in the azz for him for his phony retirement.
# 2. Tyler Walker: just shows you the liberalism in our court systems around the country that is one part of the hundreds of reasons our country is going the way of the toilet. Good God, talk about B.S., a good lawyer and a liberal system that actually believes that crimes are the fault of the parents, the schools system, the court system, the country, the dim witted president, etc. So, Tyler is not at fault, he has brain damage. A good lawyer can always find a "bought" expert in any field, this means a paid expert in a medical field (and highly paid) that testifies that he is not at fault, but the race car and the tracks are at fault. These medical experts in all medical fields travel the country and testify at trial after trial that the defendant is not at fault, it's someone else's fault. It's become a full time job. No more patients to see. No more mal practice to pay for. Just pack your bag and get to the courtroom on time.

I don't know where some of you clowns think Kinser said he was retiring full time. All he said was he would not be a full time World of Outlaws racer. That's all, nothing else. It was abunch of idiots that said he was retiring altogether from racing.

and also Steve never threw these parties for him self. Promoters did it and the ones I saw did not take over 10 min. of time, and what does this have to do with Tyler Walker?

What these promoters did for Steve, can be put in one word. RESPECT!!!!! Some people on this board need to look up the meaning of that word. Steve did say all year long he was going to make up his mind at the end of the season, what his plans were going to be for 2015. The retirerment was from full time WoO Competition.
I will agree with some of your post about the shape of our county!!

If you had bothered to get your dumbass up from behind your computer screen & attended just one of those WOO races last year, you would very well know that it was in honor of the King retiring from FULL TIME OUTLAW racing, NOT retiring completely you dipshit!!

Steve had said last season that he wasn't retiring from sprint car racing completely, it was just his final full season with the WoO and that is exactly how Johnny Gibson said whenever he introduced Kinser last year. Tony always said that he would provide Steve a car out of his shop whenever Steve wanted to race.
As for the whole retirement comment, you're not going to tell me these promoters wouldn't have given Sammy the same honors and gifts had he of said it was going to be his final season...instead he just dropped the bomb after Nationals when things weren't going well. Plus, hasn't Sammy's "retirement" been pretty similar to Steve's "retirement," I mean he is out on the WoO tour even if it is only a month or so.

Glad to see that someone who is so unabashedly right wing is also making their lack of intelligence indisputable.

Didn't Brett Favre anounce he was retiring 3 or 4 times and kept coming back and playing? Didn't Mike Jordan retire from the NBA and then come back and play again? Sorry, your facts are wrong. Happens in other sports too.

Please don't group all people who don't love supplying politicians with our money, to give to those that won't, as supporters of this post.
