Two-Night “Road to Knoxville” to Pay $10,000 to win Finale at I-80 Speedway!

Windom, MN (May 30, 2015) – What was once a one-night show for the FVP National Sprint League at I-80 Speedway has now become a huge two-day event! Thanks to promoter Joe Kosiski, Phil Durst of Durst Motorplex, and Huffman Productions, Inc., Thursday, July 30 and Friday, July 31 will be dubbed the “Road to Knoxville”, paying $5,000 to win the prelim and $10,000 to win the FVP National Sprint League finale.

That’s not all! In addition to the NSL, the Lucas Oil ASCS National Series will also be on the card, paying $3,000 to win the opener and $4,000 to win Friday’s finale. The unique format will offer several drivers the opportunity to pull “double duty”, racing both sprint car classes.

The event precedes Southern Iowa Speedweek, beginning at Knoxville Raceway with the Arnold Motor Supply 360 Nationals August 6-8. The “Capitani Classic” at Knoxville will be Sunday, August 9. The NSL Casey's General Stores $20,000 to win Front Row Challenge will be Monday, August 10 at the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa. The 55th Annual FVP Knoxville Nationals presented by Casey’s General Stores will wrap things up August 12-15.

In addition to the added purse, the timely date should add plenty of visitors as they travel the “Road to Knoxville”!

More details about the “Road to Knoxville” will be forthcoming. Stay tuned to the FVP National Sprint League at www.NationalSprintLeague.com, and on facebook and Twitter. The next FVP National Sprint League event will be Saturday, June 27 at the Knoxville Raceway where their Mid-Season Championship will pay $5,000 to win.

Wow. This has the potential to just be a massive show. Good to see dual promotion events like this happening.

Awesome!  Easy flight from Denver to Omaha...would like to make a weekend of this with my son and add a Saturday night somewhere in that area and possibly head up to Huset's for their weekly show on Sunday.  I'm aware that Knoxville is THE place to be on Saturday nights in this area, but I'll be going to the Nationals 2 weeks later, so might opt to see something new in the region for Sat August 1st.  Eagle?  MSTS? Others?  Thanks!

Belleville is about a 2hr drive and will have the final night of the Midget Nationals if you wanted to go that way, Eagle will be running their weekly show (Sport Compacts, Hobby Stocks, B-Mods, A-Mods and 305 Sprints) and thats a pretty good show there.
