Ok for the third time ill try to make a post. I get bored at work so someome entertain me here... 1st question..what happened to lee stauffers deal? Is he parking it completely after shaffers departure? If so, is he working for someone? Secondly....Ive heard twice now that rico might be in pa for some speedweek shows as well as the usac stuff. Anyone else hear this? I personally would love to see how he fairs at williamsgrove. Obviously this is a pa based thread so J Elliott please chime in. Thanks in advance..

Lee Stauffer was in California during the World of Outlaws swing. Believe he was working with Bud Kaeding. He is now out on the road with David Gravel and Destiny Motorsports.
As for Rico, I expect him to be in here in August running with USAC and in a 410 as well. As for the National Open, that's interesting. He is scheduled to be at the National Open two of three nights. That Friday, he has a K&N race at Dover. Should be interesting.

Sweet. I can't wait to see the 24 take on WG for the first time. As I did with yung money and price-miller. Chris bell if your out there... come on in buddy. Same goes for Brian Brown. I know the trip doesn't make sense financially but neither does the sport of sprint car racing period. Your a premier driver with a premier team. Show up to the premier races. Anyone who knows brian please show him this. Im a huge fan of the FVP Casey's General Stores #21 btw so don't hate..

Brown came out 2 years ago, qualified both nights and Said it cost more to come out than he earned. So don't expect to see him back any time soon.'

Yea no doubt. I was there. Buts thats what im talking about. Who cares if u lost money. Only time u don't lose money in 410 racing is if you finish top 8ish roughly, at Knoxville, Eldora and Williams Grove . Cuz it cost 2 grand a nite to run most times. Who cares about a 3grand to win NSL show. I guarantee fvp and caseys will be way happier if he comes and wins or runs well in the national open than if he won 3 grand at a NSL show in front of 2,000 people. I just cant see why
a top funded team would sit on the porch when theres a $50,000 crown jewel goin on, with the sports best drivers racing all at the same track. Theres not a caseys within a thousand miles of williamsgrove but a win or a top 5 in that race is a big deal in grand scheme of things. Go after it man . Put your name in the record books. Dont settle for "best from the midwest"

Brown ran good but it's very hard to make a trip like that to PA and make money. To the best of my knowledge Brian owns the team and does this for a living, if it doesn't pay it's not worth working, same as any working guy. Brings me to a quote Hodnett made before Heffner hired him: "I'm not doing this for fun, it's a job and it has to pay the bills". As a fan, I like having those big regional names in town, but I understand why it doesn't happen more often. Same reason a lot of local PA guys won't be anywhere near the Midwest this year.
