I know nothing about Joey's Outlaws ride. It may or may not be true.
However, on twitter his wife was joking that she had fired him from her midget car and was going to put Patrick Demsey in the car. This was after hearing Patrick comment to someone at the Indy500 that he wanted to drive in the Chilli Bowl.
In the modern world of he said, she said, I am sure someone could have misread this post and thought he had lost his Outlaw ride.

This may have been sparked by a 'joke' twiter post from Winged Nation - Steve Post jokingly tweeted "Joey is out of a ride" in reference to the fact that his Chili Bowl midget owner, his wife Shannon Saldana, had tweeted that she wanted Patrick Dempsey (McDreamy from Grey's Anatomy, part-time racecar driver and recent Sprint Car Driving School graduate) in her car for the Chili Bowl... Make sense now? Nothing to do with the 71M.

Did you really have to set the facts stratight, just before the thread got interesting? We had yet to have the 3,465 posts regarding the justification for the poster's favorite driver to take the 71M seat. Next time please withhold correcting the rumours until all the keyboard jockeys have their say ....

I was the original poster and if you read it right i was looking for the truth. My fav driver is Joey Saldana. I was told this and didn't know what to believe so i asked to find out. So take your keyboard jocky comment and shove it. Thank you to the others who let me know the truth.

The 71m team shutting down or whatever wouldnt surprise me. It seems like they run a few years the shut down for a while then start up again the stop again. I think Saldana and McMahan are good friends so it wouldnt surprise me for them to become teammates.

I heard it from cjb cfew chief himself. If he wasn't in a contract with motter this year it would have happened
