IBRACN reports:
"Oregon sprint car driver, Colin Baker, is in the hospital fighting off a rare genetic disorder called Wilson's disease. This disease makes the body unable to get rid of copper which can build up and cause damage to vital organs. The majority of cases result in liver failure. Colin's condition is affecting his brain as well. Medication is the only treatment at this point. Baker is in intensive care but has been getting better each day. There has been a GoFundMe page set up to help cover medical bills. Go to www.gofundme.com/colinbaker.
Colin is the 2014 Cottage Grove Speedway track champion in Cottage Grove, OR. If you want to send Colin well wishes, please go to Ted Baker's Facebook (Colin's dad) page and leave a message. (this information was taken from a press release sent out by Ben Deatherage on Wednesday)"
Let's be a supporting family, even away from the track. If everyone who clicked over could donate at least $5, it would all add up very quickly and make a huge difference for this family.
