It's not rescheduled. They are already here that weekend. Just the Morgan cup. And there was no reason to not race. Had plenty of time to let things dry out and clear.

So what happens now for those who bought the 2-night package? Do we get to view the July race?

The back pit area was flooded, and the front pit wasn't much better. There was a light drizzle for an hour or so after they canceled.

When I left the area around 7, it was beautiful out For about an hour. So at 6 it was nice, and starting to dry out. You're telling me they couldn't push the program back just a hair to give it time to dry out? Or was it a case of the outlaws didn't want to run on a track with moisture so they left on their own and cancelled it themselves?

I really don't think you understand all the dynamics going on with a cancellation. While I would have loved to have been there last night to watch the race with you, but I also understand the cancellation
1. Getting the track in somewhat race able shape is the easy part.
2. Race would likely be a freight train due to the amount of moisture and lack of wind to dry anything out
3. Parking 20 or so hauler rigs in the back pits weighing between 20,000 - 80,000 lbs each in a questionable area that is soaked is nothing more than a recipe for disaster. Tearing up a racecar is one thing, tearing up a hauler is something quite different. I'm curious how many folks that had RVs in the fields back there had problems last night/this morning getting out.

There is this misconception that the Outlaws control the track surface. Fred Putney has never been told what to do to the track by the Outlaws at Lincoln or when he was at Williams Grove. That includes during the Ted Johnson era.

It was good at 7. But remember, they canceled at 4:45. It drizzled until like 5:30. The back pit was flooded, and the front pits weren't that good, either.

The outlaws race Sunday in Ny. That's @ 5.5 hour drive in a car.
I bet if they didn't have a race on Sunday- the track and outlaws would have tried harder to get this or any race in.

Donate the money to do so. I'm sure they would name the pits in your name out of respect for your selfless donation.

I'm not the owner, but I donate my $$$every week I walk thru the gate. She needs to start making some improvements or the Grove will become a housing development in the not too distant future.
