Unbelievably nasty hit. The sound was horrific. Lori McCarl posted on Twitter that Terry has a fractured L4 vertebrae and will be out a while.
Very unfortunate way to cap a very rough night for T-Mac, but fortunately it could have been much much worse and wasn't. I was shocked that there wasn't more chaos - looked like the front end broke as he was coming onto the front stretch, forcing him to weave back and forth in front of the field. Very surprised Brown didn't go over, he looked like he was headed for a wild ride. Sucks for Loyet - I'm sure he trashed a car as well.

That sucks to hear. Hope he heals up and gets back on the hammer soon. I always enjoyed watching him when he came to PA during his time with the Outlaws. I had the pleasure of meeting him back in 2007 and he is one cool guy. He was a blast to talk to and he's one hell of a driver as well.

He started out the night blowing an engine, changed it, then got the car smashed up and himself in the hospital.

Don't laugh at the Colfax Comet suggestion. Several years ago following an injury, Sammy's phone rang. We all know how that worked out for T-Mac. Maybe Brian Brown could just "borrow" T-Macs sponsor's until he fully recovers!

The Colfax Comet would sell a few t-shirts if that was to happen.He wouldn't even steal a used tire,and he knows how to talk to the fans.Terrys a hell of a driver and good with the fans hope he recovers soon.Was looking forward to see the old T-Mac and Dude battles.

A Hans device does make things safer, but in the instince of this accident and where the injury occured to Terry. I don't think that it would have done anything in this crash. I could be wrong though.

Yeah, can't see a Hans device mattering considering the L4 is much further down. HANS mainly protects head/upper neck, hence Head And Neck Support device.
