Kenny's Tile Adds Prize Money for Thursday's McCarthy Auto Group KC Klassic
Inside Line Promotions - OWASSO, Okla. (May 4, 2015) - The McCarthy Auto Group KC Klassic just got even bigger.
Kenny's Tile has added a $500 bonus to the winner of the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour main event on Thursday at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan., where the driver who crosses the finish line first will receive $3,500.
Additionally, Kenny's Tile has donated to the b-modified purse, making the main event $1,000 to win and $100 to start.
"We want to thank Kenny's Tile for partnering with the McCarthy Auto Group KC Klassic," said Tony Bruce Jr., whose company - TBJ Promotions - is co-promoting the event along with RacinBoys. "We are expecting a stout field of cars in both the sprint car and modified classes."
Seth Bergman, who advanced from 12th to win the most recent Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour event last Saturday, will be on hand to race along with points leader Aaron Reutzel, Derek Hagar, Bruce Jr. and Wayne Johnson to name a few top-notch national drivers. Meanwhile, a strong contingent of competitors from the Midwest, including Danny Lasoski, Brian Brown and Dusty Zomer, are expected to compete as well.
"We've all been gearing up for a great night of racing that will bring many of the top drivers in the country to Lakeside Speedway for the McCarthy Auto Group KC Klassic," RacinBoys Co-Founder Scott Traylor said. "Fans can expect to see spectacular racing from the heat races to the features in both the sprint car and modified classes."
Thursday's McCarthy Auto Group KC Klassic kicks off a busy weekend of racing in the Kansas City area, which hosts NASCAR at the nearby Kansas Speedway. The Steve King Foundation will be at the Lakeside Speedway on Thursday to raise awareness about its impact on the dirt racing community. Brett Moffitt, driver for the No. 34 NASCAR Sprint Cup team, will be signing autographs at the foundation merchandise trailer from approximately 7:30 to 8 p.m.
