Dusty Zomer won for the 3rd time already this year on opening night at Husets, does anyone else think zoom zoom could have a big year? I've been a huge fan of him since he started and doesn't seem like he gets much recognition for as much talant and how good he is!

Well one of the wins was in Arizona against the ASCS SW a bunch of local racers. If he wins aginst the ASCS national guys, Knoxville, WoO he may get some recognition you are saying he should get.

Dusty has more wins at Knoxville than the avg Joe... He will be just fine this year! good luck zoom zoom! Not only did he win last night, but he dominated it. #BlazinRacin

Exactly. None of these wins are anything to get excitied about. He's running in top notch equipt against pretty low level competition. The real test for him is the NSL races and he did not fare well in the first, taking 14th in the A. His bread and butter track is Knoxville, so there I think he will do well. Outside of that, he will most likely struggle. Tough competition + unfamiliar tracks = lucky to be in the top 5.

There was some pretty tough competition last night at Huset's. Good win for Dusty and Blazin' Racing.

He beat Ian and some other very notable drivers last night and not by a little but by a lot. Also we have only had one NSL race and zero races at Knoxville so we have no good measuring stick of how good this team will be. I would be surprised if Zomer "struggles" on the tour. Top Notch equipment + great driver = likely in the top five of many events.

It might be top notch equipment but it hasn't gone fast consistently with other great drivers, some of which I'd put above Zomer. Interested to see how this team does throughout the year though, it seems Zomer's been in few more races than the average 82 pilot sees.

Dusty is talented for sure, however I wouldn't say he doesn't get the recognition he deserves. If you're referring to national, as in nation wide, then yes he doesn't b/c he doesn't travel MUCH beyond S. Dakota and Iowa.
The lucky ones at Knoxville and the upper midwest know his potential, in addition to Davey Heskin, and a couple of other young fellas.
