There was a few at San Jose who were good drivers but had crappy cars. One that comes to mind, not only he was a good clean driver, made alot of mains, but didn't have the car to compete was Joey Santos. Super nice guy. He always had time to chat with the kids, helped with the MDA foundation. Would take his car to schools and talk with the kids, he came to my son's school, Ida Price Middle School, took phots with the kids. A few years back, we were visiting my son in Antioch and we all went to the Races, to our amazment Joey was racing in the Spec Sprint class. Did very well, won his heat, trophy dash and 3rd in Main, still the same nice guy. We talked after and remembered the good old times. Although we were never Sargent fans, he told us a few stories that changed my feelings of Marshal, Mike and Mark.

Thats my dad! Thank you for the kind words! I went to Fammatre and we lived right off Curtner. He always loved working with the kids.
