With a less than desirable race track fans saw what has to be one of the best late model races in a while.
With all the rain in the area from this weeks storms Springfield Raceway was a wonder that they were even racing Saturday night, the track had a fairly smooth low grove but after that it was a, how much do you want to sacrifice your car as many did and they paid the price with broken parts or motor problems.
Jerry Hoffman took a long intermission and graded the track off to a pretty good racing surface before the a-mains.
With all of that said their was one heck of a race in the MARS a-main. Check it out.
