I've always imagined that no track could possibly be closer to the beach than Ventura Raceway. Some information from a friend in New Zealand, Allan Batt, and google maps satellite imagery reveals that this is not the case. Beachlands Speedway in Dunedin, NZ is probably a bit closer. Closer still might be Oceanview Speedway in Whanganui, NZ but if there's a track that is closer to the beach than Greenstone Park Speedway in Greymouth, NZ then it would probably be able to run only at low tide. Check it out for yourself, pretty interesting.
