Always been a fan of Dollansky, don't know much about his new team Destiny Motorsports other than what I read in the results section.  I hope the team owner has deep pockets, otherwise this could be a short season for The Crowd Pleaser.  Hopefully the results are simply a new team that needs time to gel.

WoO results thus far - 22nd, DNQ, 18th, DNQ, 22nd, 19th.

They have Lee Stauffer on site working for them. He11 didnt someone just say that is the only reason Darrah did good was Stauffer and Suchy? It take a team all needs to work together Driver---crew---owner/expenses.

Why wouldn't this team pull off and run the NSL series?  It would seem logical given the team is based in the Dakota's and Dollansky is based in Minnesota.

Has Stauffer won a race since leaving Hodnett's team?

I beleive that Scott Benic is the head wrench.  No disrsepect, but the problem last year is Rick was listening to Scott about how the car should be setup instead of Jac.  In my opnion, how can a car owener hold the driver accountable if the car is not setup the way the driver likes?  What was going on last year is Jac needed the car setup in a way he could win and it wasn't happening, and as result, wins were not happening.  Im not saying that Scott is the problem, but the driver can not be help accountable if the car is not set up to his liking.  Thats why Jac left the ride as it was a dead end.

I like Rick, he is very nice to talk with and in my opinion, a great guy.  But look at this years results compared to last year and you will see that Jac was not the problem.  So who is???  One guess................

Really??    Everything I've heard from car owners and crews about Jac was that he knows zero about set up.  He shows up wand races what they put under him.

His biggest success years were with Bonzai on the wrenches (Elden 22) IMO, followed closely by Leonard Lee (Carnahan R19) on the wrenches.

Having said that, I do not think that the Destiny Motorsports Team is Outlaw Caliber (not 100% sure they are All-Star caliber), as they could probably cut back on the # of races and be more competitive (have the same overall yearly budget, but be "loaded for bear" everytime they hit the track).  I think it will be a very long season for Craig as they suffer through a lot of sub-par performances (hope I'm wrong).

Dollansky would of been a threat for the NSL title in the Big Game car. Wonder why he got out of it ?

If Dollansky was off the tour any more than a year he would never get back. I think he took this as a chance to get back onto the Woo trail full time versus a part time Big Game ride. Benic has worked with Dollansky before and from what I hear Benic wanted Dollansky in the 9w. I would say give them some time to gel as they are back on Maxim cars and seem to have the financial backing. Just think it will take some time to be outlaw caliper. Face it not to many new teams show up and dominate.

71m car is a perfect example. They keep getting better and better. Patience is key. The problem in today's world is a lot of people expect things to happen overnight. Doesn't happen, especially when you are racing on the WoO tour.

^This guy gets it. I think there's a lot of people who don't realize just how tough it is to win on the road with those guys. They are the best no matter where they go and to run up front with them night in and night out, requires you to be 100% on your game at all times. For any new team, its going to be a long road to get to where you can compete with the likes of Schatz, Pittman, Saldana, Madsen etc. Having a veteran driver like Dollansky should definitely shorten the learning curve up a little bit but still, it may take a year or 2 until they reach their full potential. Then again, that team hasn't exactly set the world on fire so far and maybe they'll be a bust with the WoO but either way, it sure as hell isn't going to happen over night.

I've always respected Dollansky for his abilities but I think this team is to underfunded to be able to compete for wins night in and night out with WoO. I think NSL would have been a better choice for 2015 year and if the team had success make the jump to WoO in 2016.

We don't know their budget as compared to previous years and Craig brought some of his sponsors with him to this deal.  I wouldn't write them off after only a few races.  Seems that this kind of thing happens every year where some fans formulate conclusions about the entire season based on a few races.  We should give it some time and have this conversation in July heading into the big races.  Things could be entirely different by then.

LOL, what are the implications when the best post of the month is a couple of short sentences of common sense?  That doesn't bode well for the rest of the posts this month.  wink

A couple of short sentences of common sense is both rare and meaningful

Benic is good with the midgets and silver crown! I don't think wing sprint car racing is his thing. But like someone said be patience and see.
