On what day does the fairgrounds open for camping before Gold Cup?
I was thinking Monday ?

How much will tent camping cost this year?

Any problems setting up camp early and leaving until wed?
If not how much will it cost if any?

Thanks

Does anybody know where I can get this information?
Figured Robbie or Bill would handle this sort of thing?

If memory serves me correctly, I think the "Land Rush" for "unreserved" camping spots starts at 8 AM on Monday, first come, first serve. These are the camping spots with no hookups, or maybe just elec. As far as setting up and then leaving, I think I have seen that done in the past, so my guess would be "No Problem". As for cost, I don’t know what the "No hookup" spots go for, but the spots on pit road, where I camp, cost me $25 a night, you have to pay for Monday thru Saturday, and they go just about as fast as the tickets for the race. When I called to order my tickets for the 2006 Gold Cup, I got through to the office in about 20 minutes after the tickets went on sale, a new worlds record for me. ALL the pit road spots were already gone. Fortunately, by the time my check got to them, there had been a cancellation and I got it.

Camping is $25.00 per day . Camping will open @ 8 a.m. on Monday. Everything left is on a first come basis. (Including tenting camping).
