Just returned home from Florida and really enjoyed they way they ran the shows. Very timely and efficient especially on the colder evenings. Hoping all promoters take notice to keep the show going.

The downside, as usual, is the freight train heat races with very little passing. The track seemed to be heavy especially the final night with most cars running the bottom Like a freight train.

All in all a very good week and they run a professional show down there. Johnny Gibson with the call is great as usual. Can't wait for next year!

I've always thought if tracks would put cones thru the corners and make everyone hotlap from the center of the corners to the top it would help heat races, but that's just my opinion.

Usually if the heats are good, the A Main is going to be rubber down. Not many tracks seem to be able to have good racing throughout the night. Volusia was really good for the A Mains though.

If you want to see good racing throughout the night, go to Attica.

Eldora has figured out how to get better racing throughout the night by having the track slick by the heat races, and re-working the bottom before the feature.

Looking at the highlights, Volusia had some pretty exciting finishes.

I went from Thursday night to Sunday night.  All the features were great.  One night the quick way around was the high side, next night the middle, next night the low side.

The heat races were train races, but they were going so damn fast it was still fun to watch.

I was back at the hotel in Daytona every night before 10PM.  They were fortunate enough to not have many cautions in the sprints or the modifieds...

I've been to a lot of half miles in the last few years and Volusia hasn't dissappointed me in a long time.  I'm always leaving the track pretty happy.

Volusia is a first class operation! Was there 3 nites and was not disappointed. They run a great show no messing around. Only thing disappointing was the car count.. If you ever get a chance go in the infield for a heat race and stand in the corner..Those cars are screaming, It raises the hair on your neck.. Wish they would do a show down there in the fall.

I highly doubt I'll ever be able to but I've always wanted to catch the outlaw races at Volusia. Looks like an amazing track.

Will do Mike! Going to see Connor McDavid when they play in Plymouth, outside of Detroit, later in March! Looking like he'll be a Leaf?

We may boat to Leemingtonthis summer! Take good care!

The Leafs will play just well enough NOT to get him, he will be long gone when they pick.  Most Leaf fans around here avoid me like the plague, heck they are mostly shut-ins these days, lol.  I have lunch almost every Friday with an Ex-Leaf and his first words are usually 'Don't Start', heh heh.....
