Last night's USMTS feature event at Shady Oaks Speedway had more twists and turns in it than Breaking Bad & Sons of Anarchy put together!
Read Reb's report here: http://usmts.com/news/news_article.asp?NewsID=18349 Only thing to add is that due to getting on the track late, Ryan Gustin started dead last (24th)!
As you read, you'll see Jason Hughes ended up dead last on the track too after changing a couple flats early. They finish 2nd & 3rd.
These USMTS guys travel from all over the place!
In addition to the winner Dereck Ramirez (Oklahoma)... Johnny Scott (New Mexico), Zack VanderBeek (Iowa), Jake Gallardo (New Mexico), Cade Dillard (Louisiana), Gustin (Iowa) and Hughes (Oklahoma) were all contenders to win this one at one point or another! Then add Philip Houston (Texas), Adam Penn (Louisiana), Daniel Hilsabeck (Iowa), Joe Duvall (Oklahoma), Jimmy Ray (New Mexico), Austin Theiss (Houston) to newcomers like Jesse Sobbing (Iowa), Ben Kates (Kansas City) and the Arneson Brothers (North Dakota), along with night one winner & local hero Steve Whiteaker, Jr. (Texas), veteran Eddie Martin (Oklahoma), Shane Sprinkle (Texas), etc., etc. (3 racers from Illinois running this one even!)
That's what makes USMTS so much fun especially on a well-prepared track like Shady Oaks was last night!!!
More money & longer feature distance TONIGHT!!! $4000 to win/$300 to start and 40 laps!!!
