I have to say I really appreciate how Volusia is running the program by running sprints heats first, then run 2 heats of modifieds, dash draw, 2 more heats of modifieds then sprint dash and B main, final 2 heats of modifieds then sprint A main. All sprint car action has been done before 10:00 pm each night. Then if people want to stay for the modifieds 3 B mains and A mains they can. Imagine some of it has to do with the cool weather but not keeping fans hostage till late in the night is appreciated.

I was at Volusia clear back in 1986.  Lived in Los Angeles at that time so was not used to cool weather.  I thought I'd taken enough clothese with me to Daytona to be able to "layer" and stay warm but that wasn't the case.  At Volusia I was so cold that, in desperation, I went out to the rental car, unsnapped the trunk liner from the rental car, and took it back into the bleachers to try to use to stay warm.  Really didn't work all that well!
