IT'S RACE WEEK! RED RIVER IMCA INVASION UPDATES for FEB. 12-14!
Iowa Park, TX (2/11/15) by DarinShort.com. The 'Red River IMCA Invasion' event is all set for Red River Speedway (RRS) on February 13-14! This RRS kick off will be a special National Points event for the following IMCA divisions: RaceSaver Sprint Cars, Modifieds, Stock Cars and Southern SportMods. Factory Stocks will also be on the racing card. Each night will be a separate IMCA National Points event.
An event flyer with lots of details has been prepared and published at the track website www.RRSpeedway.com and at the track Facebook page.
There will also be a practice night from 6-10pm on Thursday, February 12th.
Mufflers are required for all race divisions (IMCA mufflers or cone inserts are OK.) except Factory Stocks. Factory Stock rules are posted at the track website. All cars (except Stock Cars) are required to register for the 2015 RRS season if they compete in this event, which is $30.
Complete event payback per division is posted at the track website under the 'Driver/Rules' tab. Races start at 7pm on Friday night and 6pm on Saturday night.
IMCA SportMods: the stickered IMCA 500 tire is required on all 4 corners in the SportMod division for this weekend's Red River IMCA Invasion.
The current NOAA forecast for race weekend is FANtastic! Daytime highs in the upper 60's Friday and low 70's Saturday - with a 0% chance of precip shown for each day. Dress accordingly for the nighttime races so you can fully enjoy them until the last checkers fall.

The races are at 7pm on Friday and 6pm Saturday. Pits open daily at 2pm with grandstands opening at 5pm. Family friendly pricing of just $12 for adult tickets, with ages 11 & under FREE for this event! All pit passes are $30 each night. Seniors and Active Military can get in the main grandstands for just $8 nightly. Pit passes for open practice on Thursday February 12th are $15, with free grandstand admittance.
No outside food or drink is allowed through the main grandstand entrance at Red River Speedway. A full line of food, drinks and beer are available at affordable prices.
Red River Speedway has a host hotel for this event. While supplies last, contact the Super 8 located at 1307 Kenley Ave, Hwy 287 & Exit 44 (Exit Maurine St) in Wichita Falls at 940-322-2220. They have rooms available for Red River Speedway and will honor a price of $46.30 per night.

IN OTHER RED RIVER SPEEDWAY NEWS...
A new revised 2015 RRS schedule is now posted at the track website and on Facebook. This is the second round of the schedule. The new updates include Military Night on Friday July 17th and a second ASCS Sprint Car series event on Friday August 28th. Details on each event will be posted as their dates become nearer. The schedule is print formatted as well. More schedule updates will be posted when they are available.
RACESAVER SPRINT DRIVERS: The RaceSaver tire rule for all Red River Speedway events, including this weekend, for 2015 is as follows. The Right Rear must be the RaceSaver plated Hoosier tire (that went into effect later last year). The other 3 corners of your car are open to driver preference. Grooving and siping is OK.
Also, if you are a 100% RRS Champ Sprint driver and are choosing to race at RRS in 2015 in the RaceSaver division, your car must remain 100% RRS Champ Sprint legal. There is no mixing-matching of rules allowed. You're either 100% RaceSaver legal OR 100% RRS Champ Sprint legal. No exceptions. We have this stipulation cleared through RaceSaver and expect drivers to adhere to the rules allowance we have collaborated.
All drivers that compete in the RaceSaver division at RRS must hold an IMCA RaceSaver license - whether they choose to run the RaceSaver legal rules package, or RRS Champ Sprint legal cars.

There, you can also choose to purchase a reserved pit space for the season that is good for every night of racing your division is racing on. For drivers that like to be in the same spot every night, this is a great option. It's also good to know if you're ever running late that your spot will be waiting for you when you arrive.
