There was a very nice article in yesterday's Sydney Telegraph newspaper about Ian and Kerry Madsen. The article also included two large pictures.

You can also find a link to the story on the Sydney Speedway Facebook page.
It is great to get coverage in the mainstream press in Sydney for sprint car racing. We owe thanks to Wade Aunger at Valvoline Raceway for making this happen.
This weekend we will have the biggest sprint car event on the VR calendar. The Scott Darley Challenge will be held on Friday & Saturday night. Ian and Kerry Madsen will be competing along with 70+ other race teams.

Kerry and Ian have worked really hard to get where they are and we are proud to see them at the top of their game

Totally agree ! They are both great racers. I have followed Kerry's progress since I first saw him race at PCR back in the late 90's.
One of the most memorable races that I have seen was the Scott Darley Challenge two years ago when Ian came from the back not once but twice to win the $50k. The way that he ran up against the cushion that night was just spectacular !

Is Ian planning on running for the title again at Knoxville or might he joint forces with brother Kerry on the road in the WoO. If he stays at Knoxville plus other midwesterner stops I would imagine he'll be running the NSL because it won't interfere with Knoxville. Winning the Knoxville championship is certainly no small feat, no doubt the toughest weekly track title to win year in and year out.
